New Casual Players in Casual FS Already Stuck on AW Upgrades

I'm in a hyper casual city on SA and three new players are already unable to upgrade their low level AWs. Two have AWs stuck at level 2 and one who started a few months ago has an AW stuck on level 7.

I feel like quitting, but I hate to leave a FS that I've played with for years with even fewer resources to get RRs from the weekly tournament.

Right now refusing to buy anything for cash is my only recourse.

I recently explored the first miracles. But it is impossible to get runes. Everywhere the abyss is at rest or almost full and the large treasure chests with runes are too expensive. I have 50 Ancient Knowledge but don't get 1 rune for it. I have no runes and no ancient knowledge and no tournament. I can't set up the abyss.

There's definitely increased hurdles for new cities since there are artificial delays in accessing both the tournaments and the spire. The Magic Academy is accessible at this time, but largely useless without the spire. It's ridiculous.

You might get some from the next event. Chest 63 has some chance to win broken shards and runes. Some ancient KP as well. Not the best option, but feasable at least.
I don't know which other wonders you have unlocked. completeing a province will give you a random rune from a wonder you have unlocked. Don't overscout though, that might bring other problems.

I don't know which other wonders you have unlocked. completeing a province will give you a random rune from a wonder you have unlocked. Don't overscout though, that might bring other problems.

The abyss is the only miracle I want to build.
I want to build the Moonstone set, Fire Phoenix, Brown Bear and Polar Bear. I won't have any fragments and combinations for 2 Ancient Wonders.

I guess I'll need items that I can disenchant. I hope the moonstone set comes soon, but I'll need a lot of fragments.

I'm not yet sure whether miracles will play an important role for beginners in the future.
I can't yet answer the question of whether you set up miracles for battle or miracles for goods.

Maybe I boost the military with crafting and the goods with the cauldron and hobby room?

I hope you understand me It is difficult to name things that have different names in English and German.
For example, we call the Spire a tower. I don't know what the difference is
