The big question is...is the reward worth it if you aren't in the 'manna' chapters..... I'm not sure it is. I am attempting the event but i'm sorry to say that this will be the first I won't finish since I joined the game.

Masquerade??? More like an outright INSULT and waste of time.... Something that takes 4 x 4 space... gives mid 3 digit culture, 250 pop. [I'm in ORCS] and a pittance of supplies to JUMP THROUGH RIDICULOUS HOOPS???? Sry.... 'Mama didn't raise no fool'.... I'm egregiously pissed off at these peeps atm. Support has been on a declining curve for some time.... Issues about why certain peeps get 'sales' or promos being answered by [summarized] >> Sorry, we have no control over what is done in HAMBURG regarding WHO gets promotions on diamonds, etc. Are you friggin' kidding me? Why not simply tell me to f*ck off straight away??!!! I don't understand how people put up with INNO anymore.... I worked VERY hard to get where I'm at, both time and $$$ expended. You're full of bologna about the time for relic quests. A lot of us have to wait for the respawn on the tournament and in this case, I'm waiting on the first respawn since the tournament started yesterday, they didn't say when the quest was going to start or even if it was going to start on Wednesday so I went ahead and did the first round last night. I'm in Chp 3 and already 13 provinces over for chap 4 while only 2/3rds through because of the other quests. I don't have any provinces left that aren't freakin' hard or expensive or both. So.. since I only have 7 provinces it will take me 3 spawns meaning I'd have to get up in the middle of the night to even have a shot at it. I'm still going to try, but I also lost 4 hours to sleep since I didn't know if it was going to start this morning. To do this, frankly, you have to be willing to do spoilers and have lots of free time right when you need it. I ended up building 20 WS to try to cut a little time and I still think I'm unlikely to finish.

This Masquerade was about the straw that broke this camel's back of patience... Dismissive support regarding my wife NOT ever getting ANY promo's, diamonds or whatever on her FIVE accts.? Totally absurd prize for someone who's paid in time and USD for such JOKES for prizes? INNO's become a 'tight slot machine' in a very antiquated digital ''casino''.... I'm both embarrassed and upset by their flagrant 'digression'.... Seriously foolish marketing department. Absurd!

I must say, it seems like Inno listened regarding the "and gain a good amount of supplies" portion of quests.

Chapter 11: "Produce advanced tools 16 times and gain 161,000 supplies"
Level 25 Workshops (haven't unlocked chapter 11 WS which are ~20% better)
My WS make 4,660 supplies on advanced tools, so even with zero culture bonus, the quest can be done by making 16 advanced tools using a PoP spell on your WS.

In my specific case, with 150% culture and only 7xL25(with PoP) and 9xL1 WS , I'll be 14K supplies short, which I can get from my Prosperity towers.

These masquerade quest are not justified by the rewards; the reward is basically garbage. The amount of population to space ratio at orc and goblin chapter is only 15.6, the population to space ratio for my normal residence is 68.7. Even if you add in the 490 culture it gives, the ratio/space is only 46.25. The amount of supplies it give is only 712/hour, which is half of what 1 of my workshop produces/hour (~1600). Maybe after a few month of collecting from this building, it would make up for all the resources I poured into getting it, but honestly, I would have already moved on to the next chapter which would make this building even more unworthy.

edit: oh, I didn't mention the Instants that is rewarded....they are pretty useless, I just spent all the Instants from Masquerade part 1 plus the Instants that they gave out free onto 1 building and it only reduced about 3 hours...really? Why not make them percentage based? Then it would work cross chapters, this tiny 1-60 minute boost is ridiculous when things takes close to a day to finish at my level.

to me getting relics from the tournament didn't work, I was lucky that I had scouted enough provinces and had enough troops to get them, so that were 26 fight/negotiations in 4 provinces to get 2 lousy 7 minutes time instants. THIS IS INSANE AND AN INSULT ! :-(

i feel as if Elvenar is a drug addiction and our dealer, " inno" is doing nothing but raising prices and then cutting our product more and more.. diamond prices went up, our prizes for events got nerfed so bad, that we still have last Halloween up, even though it is a whole level back because it was better than we where getting in more recent events to now.. some lousy 3 minute boosts? This is because so many of us have full pages of useless buildings that got nerfed so bad, they will never be worth the space on the map so they just took away our real prizes and replaced them with near worthless time boosts, After the end of the first part of this event. i seen a 1 hour boost. the prize they gave was only good for half my maps and not worth the space on my higher maps. WHY BOTHER WITH PART 2?

26 Encounters is just Nuts. At 8 encounters per province, that's 4 Provinces! Unless you just had a Scout or a Squad upgrade, that could be 3 days just getting to that point! And then another 14 relics! You would have to have a 10K score at least in order to compete at this level. Guess I should have read the forums before I started this Masquerade. NOT Happy!

I got most of the 26 relics from tournament but rest that comes later I am not sure what to do

no reason to bother.
But if you still want to try it, you can prove something to yourself - if you are able to rise above the standards where innogames has made us all go.
It always happends in every game.
First you make a good game, many are interested, joines the game. As players grow, then comes money hungry beast that's lurking in every good game's corner.
Then they pay less and less heed what you have to say about things even so that they seems to listen.
I have seen this manner makes many games actually makes crash landing because of it.
Actually people leave it after getting tired of rising standards, diamond prizes, getting angry enough to stop to do even tournaments because they have been made too difficult.

Yet there is time for Innogames to correct things.
But it is dramendous harm for them if they wont hear what us players has to say.
AND WE HAVE SAY!

This part 2 is too difficult to new players as well as many older ones.
Why to make us run like headless chicken's to get relics... well... I am too angry about this

I am most certain that some will drop this game after this. It is too hard to be even ridiculous.
And I don't have any humor left to Inno.
I am only in chapter IV and I feel that this game goes diamond fooled way by their money hungry senses are lead for.

To be fair, by waiting till the second round of the tournament is in full swing it did uptick my relics per round by 2... Maybe that will make up for the lost hours before it started etc. It will still be close I fear. (ETA I also had to scout two more provinces which continues to put me ahead of my chapter (3). I'm also sacrificing KP by holding my KP that I got from the tourney in the overage so I can use them for the later quest. I think only 3 others in my FS are attempting this. I also tried to drum up support for the upcoming Fellowship challenges. The one mage I see on a regular basis has declined to lead because she said she is only around once a day. I've never seen our archmage. No one else has spoken up at all so I'm guessing I won't be able to do that questing either.

The quest is actually gain 26 relics. This is because each encounter gives 1 relic but relics can be obtained from other sources; making it not only possible but highly probable that you would gain the 26 relics before you complete 26 encounters.

The entire event is very doable even in the shortened time frame. The key is being in a fellowship and having access to the tournament.

City 1: I'm doing Orcs so it is taking a long time because it takes a lot of supplies and is extremely slow to move ahead. On my world map, my scout takes 34 hours to open a province. I have no provinces for encounters because I used them all up during the last quest and only made it because on neighbour help resulted in a treasure with one relic. As of this writing it will be another 18 hours before my scout is done. End result - no relics from here.
I've been stuck here for three or four weeks waiting for Orcs to provide the supplies I need to move on. At least my AW's are getting KPs.

City 2: Newer city and I'm at stage 5 - I have provinces available for encounters, but not enough supplies or armies to do so. And as noted previously, it will take 4 provinces (at least) to get your 26 relics.

Tournaments will give you a couple, but no enough to make a serious impression - and the current one will end in a day or so. Treaures - those are three a day and may result in none.

Bottom line - This is as far as I go on this quest.

I'm starting to feel depressed everytime I log in. I'm starting to feel like an outcast knowing that I cannot participate. I actually found myself wondering whether it is even worth playing this.

Having said that - it would be nice to be able to somehow hide this from my screen so I can enjoying playing and not being mocked by something out of my reach.

No it is not possible. I have two (2) cities and in neither one will I be able to get 27 relics (or encounters).

City 1: I'm doing Orcs so it is taking a long time because it takes a lot of supplies and is extremely slow to move ahead. On my world map, my scout takes 34 hours to open a province. You can absolutely gain the relics you need from the tournament. Do round 1 of a whole bunch of provinces and you'll have more than enough for both relics quests. It will also help your supplies issue because you'll gain some Provision spells.

Starting in province 10, the first round always awards 4 relics and a Provision spell, the 2nd round always awards 4 relics and 5 KP. (Those 2nd rounds are a good place to fill the 23 KP quest.)

City 2: Newer city and I'm at stage 5 - I have provinces available for encounters, but not enough supplies or armies to do so. And as noted previously, it will take 4 provinces (at least) to get your 26 relics.

Same deal here. You mentioned having supplies issues for both cities. How many workshops do you have in these cities? I have 6 and I also struggle, but I use a lot of supplies making troops and orcs. I stopped producing orcs for a bit and my supplies recovered easily with the use of Provision spells. I'm also considering going up to 8 workshops.

I understand that feeling, especially since you're in a notoriously difficult chapter. I suggest hanging in there. If you need, take a look at your city layout and see if any changes can be made with regards to the size of the settlement, number of workshops, perhaps too much culture, etc. Without seeing your city, I can only make guesses, but these are common issues. Also check out the gamersgems orc guide.

The more I read, the more my own negative suspicions concerning INNO's GREED comes to the forefront. I'm simply AMAZED that they believe that this ridiculously insulting pair of 'events' will endear ANYONE to continue pouring $$$ into their 'TIGHT' Digital SLOT MACHINE! I'm damned near at the end of my rope... in ORCS....nearing 100K score and have seen nothing but stingier and less rewarding 'prizes', ongoing... for the past year. Not happy at all!

To those 'EXALTING' this event? I'd have to take a VERY educated guess and place you in ONE of TWO Camps.... The first being that you are SO HIGH UP the 'food chain' that you benefit from the 'MANA' part..... or??? The second camp.... Meaning you either WORK for INNO support or are a corporate shill or whatever... propping up this money sucking game at every turn. ALL negative comments on this thread have verifiable truth behind them... Every single one... To you CHEERLEADERS.... Come on, already. Your 'bias' is showing.... flagrantly. I just did the 26 relic part... got my 7 minute boost WOOHOO [NOT!] and then there's the LITANY of busy bodied horse excrement that remains.... Sorry, but I'm KNEE DEEP in ORC DUNG, literally... I do NOT derive mana from this space wasting 'grand prize'... It's pitifully pathetic and obviously lacking, pursuant to the not so gradual DEGRADATION of rewards that INNO 'provides'.... Only a ZOMBIE or a shill... or perhaps someone higher up in the game would find this nonsense 'Masquerade' appealing... Go fish... Not even considering dropping another dime on this nonsense.....
