...Now I'd like to be able to pick from the vertical list when trying to donate to a player like mobile can, rather than endlessly scroll over if the one they want is not hearted.

No, you are not its just worded a bit funny, the use wants to scroll up and down to view the Wonders of another, rather than side to side

No, everything scrolls or pages left and right in the browser, so horizontally.

I looked it up, calling it vertical or horizontal just depends on exactly what you are looking at. I would call what we have a horizontal list, but looking at it this way: It is a vertical layout.
