App won't open if connected initially to wifi

if I connect to Elvenar on my iPhone using my home wifi, and then switch to data usage while still logged in to Elvenar, the app won't open - I get an internet connection error and can't log in. I have to reconnect to my home wifi in order to access the app again. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but that doesn't clear the error. Do you have any suggestions to make this work? I can't access my home wifi at the moment, and thus can't play the game.

Have you rebooted your phone? I know on my tablet* that helps, so maybe the same for your phone? *Samsung Galaxy A 8
