I am pretty sure that Amuni originally came from the worshipers of the Egyptian god Amun. Any modern day banking group is probably not related.
banking groups are pretty evil and live as parasites so maybe it is lol but if you have any info on Amuni being worshipers shoot a link, as far as i know the word has no connection to the god, but then again actual facts are not needed for the game ..

I am no expert in the Egyptian language or its suffixes, but I did find the following results.

1. Amuni used as a vocative of Amun: The Treasury of Ancient Egypt -Arthur Edward Pearse Brome Weigall
2. Amuni referring to a priest of the soldiers: Egyptian Hieroglyphs: Being an attempt to Explain their Nature- Samuel Sharpe

seems Amuni is a present tense singular neuter pronoun for Amun (phonetic) groovy  ok it's a real word

This analysis seems confusing. The word "Amuni" as a whole is not a pronoun, because it contains the noun in it. The suffix, however, stands a good chance of being a possessive pronoun (my, your, his, her) that is added to the word. For example, in Aramaic the adding the "i" suffix to Amun would produce "my Amun". As for single neuter, I think this may be the parsing of Amun not the parsing of the pronoun itself. I have no idea what present tense means, usually that comes into play with participles, which means that we would be looking at Amun as a verb.

I know it's a little early, but do we have any info on how many of the Monuments / Goldsmiths / Trapmakers / T5 factories we are going to need?

i feel like Pheryll and i should be having a private convo but there is past present and future tense use of amun and a male female neuter use of amun in the 2d book you listed translated from glyphs .. in the 1st you listed the only reference i found was when sailors used amuni as their word for amun .. so they used ra and amun as root of the words then added prefix suffix for how much the gods liked them or jobs they did etc

I read in some post of dony that we need 8 goldsmiths and 4 trapmakers, I get thru elementals with 1 t4 facory so i guess 1 t5 factory will be sufficient. So you need 300 squares for the goldsmiths and trapmakers together and then space for the main temple (portal) and the side temples, but i don't know how much we will need of that, still waiting for a quest line

"Amuni" (أَمُوْني) is actually an Arabic given name for either gender, and is a variation of Ammuni. It means "safe" and "away from harm". It can be found in Nigeria as a surname, and in Sicily, Amunì is slang for "let's go (travel) together".

Interesting, although this is probably not the origin. The Egyptian Amun-Ra predates the Arabic language by a large number of centuries.

Three whole unit upgrades? Nice, I was only banking on the Frog and Drone. Dryad's a nice surprise to go along with them. And this chapter finally rounds out the ability to produce all unit types via AWs. Does this mean the next step is to slowly roll out AWs that produce units from the other two buildings? Guess we'll find out, but it seems likely.

I'd honestly prefer them to keep the 'specialist' troops to event buildings like the Orc Strat Grounds & V.Valors - that way you can access those troops well before the chapters in which they unlock, AND, "soon" with bp's/rr spell upgrade them as you progress through the game. ;)
