Dear Humans and Elves,

Since we are seeing a desire to discuss Beta-related topics on the US forum, we have decided to create a thread solely for that purpose, in which you will be able to discuss Beta-related topics. This also means that, from now on, all other threads attempting to discuss our Beta version will be either merged with this thread or will be locked and redirected here. That way, we have a single point on the forums where beta can be discussed.

This ensures that:
  • anyone who doesn't wish to read about Beta-related topics doesn't have to.
  • anyone who does want to read about Beta-related topics knows exactly where to look.
Should you feel that this single thread does not provide enough space for the discussion you want to have, we would like to encourage you to visit the Beta forum, which is dedicated to the Beta version and offers more information and broader discussions.

We want to thank you for your dedication to Elvenar, and are looking forward to discussing Beta with everyone in this thread!

Kind regards,
Your Elvenar Team

Congrats Inno - how to make a game NO ONE in their right mind wants to play!lol. >.<

...oh well, between the gak-fest of the Xmas event, the 'worst grand prize ever' carnival event, and now this clusterfeth, at least the bar can't possibly get any lower for the Phoenix/Spring event, right?!

LOL, almost 500 Blacksmiths... So if you have max 25 people in the FS, each needs to produce about 20 BS on average. 1x BS = 5x 1d productions IIRC. So every one in the FS will need to spend 100 workshop days just for blacksmiths. If we assume 5 days for FA (for simplicity of calculations), this means every single person needs 20x (!) workshops working non-stop over the course of FA - just to make requisite Blacksmiths. Everything else will need extra.

I get it, you don't have to do the whole stage to complete it, but still - don't you think there is something wrong with this picture?

This is all assuming that they do not go back to the normal amounts again, like they did with the last FA. We will not know that til around March 9th, when it should hit all the Live servers. And maybe Inno is tired of all the smaller fellowships and are trying to get players to consolidate into bigger fellowships, so that they can still complete all three stages. lol

But seriously, what is the difference if the fellowships at the top each time, whether they are doing every path of all three stages, plus time in the vortex, or if they don't fill every single spot, stay the same? This change will not suddenly make for a different list of top 10 or top 20. The fellowships that want that imaginary glory of being top 10 or top 5 will still put in the work, regardless of the prizes and difficulty.

There's really nothing wrong with there being a ridiculous number of BS in Stage 3. Nothing says that anybody needs to be able complete every path of every stage. The task of each fs is to figure out how to get as many points with the resources they have. If that means making 500 BS and completing every waypoint then great. If it means doing the minimum number of waypoints then that's fine. We're not competing against Inno; we're competing against each other so the ridiculousness of the waypoint requirements is totally inconsequential as long as a fs can reasonably complete some path to the flag.

Don't be to sure, if rumours trough the grapevine turn out to be truth it will be worse than the carnaval building.

We will see soon enough when it hits beta.

Hallelujah: News from Beta this morning:

The feature that is automatically moving cities to better positions on the World Map has been extended to give better results: Instead of only removing and replacing Cities of deleted player accounts, the automatic movement algorithm can now also temporarily move away inactive Cities from the World Map to free up spots for more active players.
  • The time frame for removal from the World Map depends on player progression - Chapter 1 Cities can make way for active players after only a few days, whereas higher Chapter Cities can take more than a month to be moved.
  • The state of any inactive City (Buildings, Boosted Goods, Neighborly Help, Fellowship, etc.) is stored for at least 30 days (or longer, depending on Chapter reached) and the City is assigned a new location on the World Map on return.
  • Should their original spot still be vacant by the time a player returns, they will find themselves back in their old Neighborhood. If a more active player moved into the respective spot in the meantime, the game will instead choose the next best location for them to return to. In all cases, that means the system attempts to place a player as close to the center of the World Map as possible, while keeping their respective Boosted Goods configuration in consideration.

That sounds like a nice change, though it leads me to a question I have not previously considered. The notice states that "the system attempts to place a player as close to the center of the World Map as possible, while keeping their respective Boosted Goods configuration in consideration." Does this mean that if you allow for relocation the system might change your existing boosted goods?
