Banshee vs Sorceress

I currently have a chapter 5 Elven city. And I have come to the conclusion that the Sorceress sucks. Certainly in comparison to how the Priest performs in my similar level human city. Quite simply Priests will win fights that Sorceresses will lose. I have read numerous posts talking about how the Blossom Mage is better than the Sorceress for Elven players. However, I am not there yet. I am not currently running Training Grounds in my Elven city for space/population reasons. I was wondering how the Banshee does compared to the Sorceress? I ditched Training Grounds because at the time I felt level 2 Sword Dancers were better than level 1 Cerberus. I have never used Banshees, but I do have them unlocked. Are they good enough compared to Sorceresses for me to consider re-building Training Grounds?

Tough spot in the game @Henroo. I only have elven cities (so far). The Training Grounds and Mercenary Camp units are specialists that seem to do better once they are 2star. Cerebus is an outlier: early game, their range makes them superior, but you get to where it takes over twice as long to train them as sword dancers fairly quickly. Range is good, but not twice as good. Sorceress will never be as good as a Priest, but they can be useful. Banshees are good against heavy range at 2star; by the time they're 3star they're excellent against heavy range and decent against heavy melee.
I played my first city for over a year before I built the 2nd city. What I decided to do there, since I knew the value of the specialist troops later on, was to build training grounds and merc camp as soon as I could and upgrade them when I opened the techs. I spent a great deal of time not training those troops except to extend my training queue time for overnights, etc. I used the generalists trained in the Barracks for quite some time and Sorceresses did well in provinces where mages are the key unit. More issues with them when using them as support units. They outperformed the Blossom Mages when the Blossoms were 1star. Now that my Blossoms are 2star in my 2nd city, I rarely use Sorceresses. I do use a mix of Blossoms and Banshees at times. But by building and upgrading those buildings as I went, I didn't have to play 'catch-up' when I hit those fights where the specialist units were useful again. In Elementals now, and my training times are back to being outrageous in the Training Grounds, so I train Barracks and Merc Camp units now, again throwing in a couple Training Grounds units when I'm going to be afk.

I personally have never observed any noticeable difference between the performance of the Banshee versus the Sorceress. They are virtually identical other than their debuff. I occasionally toss some Banshees in with my Sorceresses just because I have them, but not because they perform any differently.

I find Cerberuses to be more useful of the Training Grounds units, since the movement range does make a significant difference since they can start dealing damage much sooner rather than spending more turns chasing enemies around while getting shot at all along the way. I typically use those instead of my Barracks Light Melee even when they are a lower number of stars. (But Light Melee is just plain bad all around.)

Is the Training Grounds worth building for the Cerberus? Depends on just how cramped you are for space and how much fighting you do. I wouldn't say it's worth it for the Banshee, however.

soreceres since it has more stars,(stronger) and most likely you can train them faster. (needles of the tempest wonder)
But both are "weak units" and barely usefull. more than often in early game I use other units just because they are to weak and just die.

There main issue is that they cannot hit the enemy and not hit back, to attack the enemy you always need to get within range of the enemy's attack.

Priests (humans) and Blossom Mage (mercenary camp unit) are much better. blossom 1* vs Sorceress 3* are comparable both have there strength and weakness, but once the blossom mage reaches 2* it becomes way more powerfull than your sorceres can ever be.

The units have a good attack power with a long range allowing you to hit the enemy and get a 2nd round of attacks before the enemy hits you back. this makes them really strong.
