Boosting revenue for Leagues.

Suggestion : On rollover or dropdown, allow players to see
who's who in the league's catagories. (list of names)

Cons : just the add'd coding time. (minimal)

Pros : By allowing players's ego/emotions to add that xtra
little ummmphh, to thier decision to spend $$$ or :diamond:, Inno
can increase revenue from Leagues. Those 2-3 top players
prolly will keep spending, just to be #1, while other ppl
not normally willing to spend, might spend just to knock
thier favorite rival player down/cost them xtra rewards.
So top 2-3, plus +/- 5 making gold, and +/- 5 for Silver.
That alone is 8-15 players actively spending when usually
they wouldn't. ( potentially ).

It also adds excitement for players to jocky for posistions
as they play each event. Yes, all events should have Leagues.

Smells like PvP with wallets. Certainly doesn't excite me, but whatever blows your hair back, I guess.

You're not revealing anything CountR, just by displaying
how many event pts a player has. Seems no different than
the top rankings for say tourn each week. I can't believe
if ur #2, the temptation to pay for #1 is there....

Ever since leagues came out, I always wondered..... when
I go from bronze to Silver, who did I knock outta Silver.
Or visa-versa when I'm knocked back to Bronze....

We have FS rankings for FAs, and Spire rankings..... why
not rankings for the leagues.....

There's an issue with the idea. Someone knowing who kicked them out at the last minute might breed a little animosity...
Personally I wait until my position is locked in and there are only 59 minutes left before doing my push.
Then I know with 100% certainty "if I do this, I'll get that" and I don't screw anyone else over.

There is a big difference. While one can spend diamonds (money) in ways that can assist in doing tournaments and spires and hence improve your ranking; it's not a requirement. It's possible to challenge for the top spots without spending diamonds(money). That's not the case with the leagues. Typically by the end of an event the points required to be in gold basically require spending diamonds (money) to be in it. Your whole premise is players would spend money to improve their ranking if they saw themselves close to being number one. This would identify anyone in gold as having spent money, particularly anyone that would happen to be near the top. And no I wouldn't be tempted at all to spend any money to improve my ranking if I was in the league I was hoping to be in.
