Excellent work Nomar! I went and looked at everything, what a lot of information in an easy to understand format. I do have one question. I noticed under the Orc Strategist, you indicated the enemy units to avoid with him was mages and heavy range. I thought he was neutral to heavy range, but should avoid heavy melee. I am still trying to finish advanced scouts for fairies, so I don't have the mercenary camp yet. I do have a Grounds of the Orc Strategist, so I get some level 1 Orc Strategists from that. Obviously he is inferior to many of the heavy range I see on the battlefield, but I thought that was a function of his level. He seems to do fine in the first few tournament rounds (where enemy units are still level 1).
Again, thank you for all your hard work!

Thank you so much for pointing that out samidodamage . It was definitely an oversight and has been fixed. It should've been Heavy Melee Units. Again thank you :)

Do you think Auto-Fighting is a waste of time? Then you need to watch this video!

That is a great video. It also shows the simplicity of many of the auto-fights were only 1 troop x5 is required ( at least to begin with). Auto-fight gets a bad rap but it is reasonable especially if a person is time poor or not inclined to manual fight.

I've heard that some tournaments are easier to tackle compared to others. Is this true, and if so, which tournaments are easier and why?

This is true but the reasons why can vary. In respect to tournaments, generally provinces where light melee is the key unit are harder for both races as the losses tend to be higher than other tournaments.

Some people also claim provinces for elves where mages are the key unit are also harder, although I personally have not found these too bad.

People often ignore troops from the training ground and mercenary camp and this can influence how hard something might be. While getting the right unit type is critical, choosing the right unit within that type can have a large impact. For example 5 sword dancers verse 5 abbots will have a different outcome to 5 Cerberus v 5 abbots even though both would win in a balanced fight.

Regardless of this the numbers shown for catering verse auto-fight will still favour auto-fight even for these "harder" tournaments

The last 2 tourneys I catered 90%. Just out of boredom, just want to get the provinces done as quickly as possible. Forgot all about the auto-fights.
Just wondering if you had any plans to incorporate hints/options on where to use the 1 star orcs, vallorian guards that we (lower chapters) get from the prizes. As one of the dozens of people who rely on your VERY helpful tools for the tourneys.

These can be used in any tournament where their unit type is the key unit. They shine however against a single unit type as they are specialists.

An easy way to identify who they specialise against is to look at your army camp (if you have already built some, otherwise check their specific production building). Units from the training ground are specialised against the unit type 2 to their right in the list. So a cerberus is specialised against mages and a dryad against heavy range, etc. While the units from the mercenary camp are specialised against the unit type immediately to their right, so ranger against mages, etc.

It gives you a convenient way from in-game to work out what they are best against so you can easily decide when to use them.

    Edit: Fixed typo
