Chapter changes

We know they redid CH 1-5 then the forced migration, even some migration
from ch5 to 6 . Then they did another round of changes to CH 6-10.... We were
told the CH 1-5 chgs would make it easier, well ask @Henroo , about that 1.
Before he couldda gotten to CH3 opening up everything < 2 weeks, I'm pretty
sure it will take him over 3 maybee 4 weeks to open stuff up fully in CH 5.

I had already done 2/3rds of CH6 in my main city, and after being migrated
I moved my CH5's along to start CH 6. Then the CH 6-10 chgs were applied. Below
is the difference Pre chgs and Post chgs. My lvl 9 MH was fine before, not now.

Just like the AW changes, the CH changes severely slow down progression, and
I thought that was exactly what Inno didn't want in thier players. Built in is the
insane ways Inno removed "choice" in playstyles.

I think the new mgmt team shouldda just made Elvenar 2. Nice clean code,
easily updated/upgraded/features add'd. What we have now is a "broke"
game. Prolly not what 90% of us signed up for, or will stay for.

Below you can see the difference, and almost none of the completed researches
in the Pre chgs tree can be completed in the Post chgs tree.

Here on the Forum we used to discuss stuff, usually
pretty civil, some heated, but logical/rational convos.
Doesn't matter if I like the changes, what matters is
why they occured.

I'm looking and wondering, was the game too easy ?
which part of the game does it effect the most ? how
does this chg serve its purpouse ? will this theme be
continued thru CH 10 ?

Isn't this a CityBuilder Game ? Its not a PvP game, so
it more appeals to females than most games. It seems
to also be popular with somewhat older folks. Think
for a sec here, thats Genius .... Inno has a stable of games
and it really doesn't matter as long as everyone plays
1 of them. Elvenar attracted 2 traditionally "non gamers"
demographics in 1 game. Both of which have disposable
income, for those impulse purchases.

Isn't it supposed to be, so easy a (bleep'd) can do it ??
Isn't that kinda the whole point ?? Now I ask you :
Since ( player edited ), which changes have add'd to
the enjoyment of a CityBuilder Game ??

the 1 since march '23, ya know when a few hundred ppl got lay'd off.

thats not what I ask'd.
Just because there was a layoff does not mean there was a "new management team" and since you avoided answering my second question still by answering rhetorically, should assume you don't have an answer?

and @Astram ,
the new mgmt team that used Discord, unlike the old one.
They flat out said the new team was used to Discord, thats
why they wanted to move the forum there......

@BrinDarby please try to provide accurate information on this platform. We are filtering enough with all of the changes and do not need false information shared here as if it was a fact.

@WayoftheWitch ,
1st off Astram has disrailed this thread by what seems
an irrational obsession with me lately, or he was told to,
I dont know.... but this has become rediculous...

2nd, the thrust was clearly put that the "changes" since
aprox mar '23 .. were the topic, not who or when exactly
upper mgmt was reshuffled/bought/ect or when (
not reported by me and not edited out ) like 300 ppl
don't work here anymore. Tons of other ppl have posted
more on this, I just referenced it and in passing. When
longtime mods leave and give that old speach, well
the company's vision and mine no longer align so it
was time to move on it has been allowed as it should be.

In this thread I was trying to get back to what the Forum
really is here for and the robust conversations of the past.
I went outta my way not to be overly critical and kept the
topic generalized enough so the conversation could be
lively , thoughtfull, and civil.

There was an obvious shift in what us players were seeing
before aprox Mar, and after till now. I'm not the person
who basically posted here, Inno's finantials.
There have
been rumors and comments ( not censored by the mod team )
made over the past 10 months not made by me, left for
interpretation.

It was also clearly told to us, that 1 reason for the switch to
Discord, was because "they (new/diff ppl in charge)" were used
to using Discord and They wanted to make things uniform and
move everything kinda to Discord. I didn't make up those
announcements and thats what we were told...... by Them.
Whatever, if I used the wrong PC term for the new ppl running
this game I'm sorry ,
but basic buisness practices say if a company owns 40%,
and buys another 12% thus gaining control they are now
in control..... whether thats @ Inno , Microsoft, or Google.

Can we please get back on topic, which was Not whom
is running Inno, it was delving into the menucha of all
things, chapter changes CH 1-10, but at the moment CH6.

Brin you kept insisting that all the changes were a result of "new management" All I did was ask for clarification, nothing more I did not censor or edit any posts. In May of 2017 BEFORE Elvenar mobile was released MTG increased its ownership stake to 51% from 35%.

my 3rd post has been player edited, So ......
Can we please get back on topic, which was Not whom
is running Inno, it was delving into the menucha of all
things, chapter changes CH 1-10, but at the moment CH6.
The CH chgs along with the AW chgs, have severely
slowed an already slow game down further. Also, its
not just engame players or newbs being hurt, its the
plain and simple (apparent) fact that most of the
possible playstyles, are "defacto" being eliminated.

"there's always 10 ways to skin a cat" is a popular
expression. 1+1+1+1+1=5 , 4+1=5, 3+2=5, So there
is NO "1 best playstyle" for everyone, yet all these
changes are basically saying, there is only 1 playstyle
approved by Inno, and you must conform.

When players do everything necessary to do the next
CH, then get 4/5ths the way thru, only to log in and
everything has chg'd and now they cannot progress...
its rational to think they have a reason to be piss'd.

If I buy a bldg with :diamond: , because it fits with the city
I'm building, .... and I spend $$ for the :diamond: in the 1st
place, then I ( any player ) feels cheated when chg'd.
I know the pushback is well ( you know bought pixels
can't be counted on ), and that sentiment is rampent
online. Inno is selling a product, and making thier product
as worthless as it seems using KP is now, will not encourage
more revenue. All it does is destroy the trust between
the exsisting playerbase, newbs included, and Inno. That
historically has never resulted in more revenue in ANY
online game I have ever played.

My Khelonaar city followed the rules, as did all my cities,
and we were told that chgs would NOT be applied during
a current CH.... only apon entering the next CH.
That seems
to be contrary (false) to the actual CH chgs. Even Tourn/Spire
don't chg in the middle, the next week they chg if your city
has progressed and thats the way the CH chgs should work.

a change is 1 thing, but when corresponding bldgs
that were previously scaled to the old values, don't
get scaled to the new chgs, its a net loss....

In this case its something ppl do buy a few of, at
some point or another, Magic Residences/Workshops.
In effect they got nerf'd, 'cause value stay'd the same.

Just another change somewhere, causing good 'ole
unintended consequences. ( kaos )
