Cities that are no longer used

I've had to cut back on my game play. I would like to get rid of some of the cities I no longer use. Is there a way to delete them or at least get them out of the starting banner?

You could put a request in to support. But, other than that, I'm not aware of any way to do this. The whole issue of removing inactive cities has been discussed many times and it appears the procedure for doing so favors keeping them around a lot longer than players would like. At least that's my impression.
