I like it. I'm learning all sorts of things. ;)

Based on this experience, we can play a Definition Contest game, similar to the Caption Contest game. In the Definition Contest game, the gamemaster posts a word to define. Next, players are supposed to submit their definitions, but they are allowed to submit only one entry and each entry must consist of three definitions: (a), (b), and (c).

Suppose the gamemaster proposes the word JACK. Players will submit their entries in sets of three. For example:
PLAYER ONE
(a) A device for lifting heavy objects.
(b) A page in a deck of cards.
(c) A feller.
PLAYER TWO
(a) The first flag on a vessel.
(b) The boy who outwitted the giant.
(c) The boy who aged four times faster.
When the gamemaster decides who wins the round, he or she can take into consideration any aspects that may seem relevant to him or her. Player One's definitions may win because they appear to do their job better, or the last definition has a double meaning. Or Player Two's definitions may win due to their interesting references. Something like that. Almost any word can produce interesting definitions and every round will allow all the participants, including the gamemaster, to learn new things. Once the gamemaster picks the winner, the latter becomes the next gamemaster and the game continues in the same fashion.

Does this game sound interesting? :)

I have the next crossword puzzle. Here are the definitions:

[2] An African country where national legislative and presidential elections have never been held (abbreviation).
[3] Experienced again.
[4] A Jack Nohi.
[5] The unit of luminous intensity (abbreviation).
[6] Plants of the daisy family.

DOWN
[7] A cereal cultivated as a source of syrup.
[8] Greece's country code in the European Union.
[9] To renew the façade.
[10] Hip.
[11] The protagonist in Tomb Raider (abbreviation).
[12] The key used to execute a command (plural).

12) enters
1) charge
Number 12 is correct, but number 1 is not. A charge is a headlong rush forward (typically in attack), not an attack made by troops coming out from a position of defense. So, now we have:

They are mostly correct. The main problem is number 7. Sorghum refers to a group of cereals that grow well in hot, arid areas. One variety, probably the sweetest species of all 25, is used to produce a syrup. Its name is slightly different.

7 Sorgos or Sorgho found both.
Which makes the last.... either O _ E _ _ S or S _ E _ _ S but I can't find anything on that clue.... so maybe the spelling of 7 is still wrong? Alternate spellings?

Couldn't find any plants in the daisy family where the third letter is "e", but there could be other names for some of them.

10 is probably trendy instead of trends.
6 would be, then, O _ E Y _ S and that's Oxeyes!

I think that's it.

1 SECANT

3 REPUTE
4 UNISON
5 TE (Trial and Error)
6 GRANTS
7 STRUNG
8 EN
9 CAPITA
10 ABUSEN (Spanish "to put upon," or "take advantage of a person" to abuse the right of friendship.
11 TO
12 TRENDS

WARNING: They all "fit," but they still might be completely wrong as some of the definitions are a bit "slanted" and the use of the Spanish "Abusen" is questionable, in my opinion. Still, it's the best I can do.

Wow. They're not all correct, but almost. You're really close.

Number 6 and number 10 are not correct. However, I'm sure they will be figured out very soon. :)
