And players who've yet to complete any guest races are in luck. The 400 free diamonds per guest race chapter can really add up and are more than enough for an extra builder and an expansion or two, both of which would greatly improve gameplay for free players.

The world is filled with people who want to toss their dollars out like trash.
What does it matter if other players choose to spend money on this game? Better then spending it on drugs, alcohol, gambling, and all other "vices". IMO

Have you tried drugs, alcohol or gambling? They're pretty awesome.....;)
I have tired none of those, and am confident in my choices.

(edit: it's a tough call on the gambling part. Technically I have purchased scratch-and-win lottery tickets, but since I don't ever actually expect to win, I think I've never really "gambled" on them, seeing them more as an entertainment expense. the same is true for a couple of visits to the horse races with my wife, who enjoys them.)

Gambling should only be for entertainment, it's pretty foolish expect to win when placing wagers on something you have no control over, or where the house has a mathematical advantage.

The best nights I've had at the casino weren't when I won the most money. The best were where my friends and I played at the tables all night, had a blast and broke even after paying for drinks/tips. If the table limits are low enough, or if the drinks are free like in Vegas, you can often party for less than if you went to a pub.

The one and only time I put in a Proline Pools ticket for some NFL, I ended up a single missed fieldgoal away from winning $5500...

And yes, I'm still bitter, even after 5 years, and the Bengals are still the biggest bunch of idiot cowards for choosing to try a 40 yard fieldgoal (into the wind at freaking Cleveland!), vs. going for the 4th & inches!
Seriously, what's up with Americans being so bloody afraid of playing a simple quarterback sneak?!

No clubbing, no raves, nothing? Even in your younger years?
I got a mouthful of dad's rye and coke by accident when I was 12, but I threw up before it hit my stomach. And there might have been something in a cake I got at a high-end bakery, once, but I can't be sure.

I think the people complaining about spending money on this game r the same people who complain about whatever they can find to complain about in "life" in general....this is a business, and u don't have to spend money, I have 8 cities and I spend money on some, and I am doing just fine on the ones I don't spend money on, nothing in life is free, and this game is a hurry up and wait game, and I have found if u follow the talking heads u wont have a problem getting expansions to build ur city, its just takes time and now a days everyone want everything "now". Life doesn't work that way.....and yes they did make a lot of money last yr and good for them, they deserve it, what did all of u who r complaining do last yr to earn money, did u create an online game, cause if u did u would also be charging people for something , otherwise ur business would tank within a yr if it took that long

There are better ways to collect a steady income from a game. Have any of you noticed how many bugs this particular game has, how events and such get rolled out without proper testing and feedback changes? This isn't a lets stick with this game model, it's a lets get rich and dump this game model. That is what upsets me the most.

Elvenar is over 2 years old and continues to get updates, new chapters, new features and events on a regular basis. If they wanted a get rich and dump model, they would have charged us to buy the game and not bothered with updates. Now the game is by no means perfect and there's much that can be improved, but I think your assertion is unfair.

I'm still curious about your opinion of the many responses to your previous posts.

As I said. There is a better way for a game to collect a steady income. The model this game has chosen will result in the ending of this games support and updates very quickly. 2 years is hardly a cough.

Well let me scroll back and look - but before I even do that: There are a lot of sheep in the world, which is what this game preys on. I suspect the sheep have tried to justify their spending on a game, when a lot of the world in need would get fed for several weeks with the same $$ donation.

Maybe you haven't heard of the wildfires, the hurricanes, the earthquakes - all worthy sources to toss 'throw away money' into.
-->An online game that makes it not only challenging, but too challenging and misleading via storyline quests, isn't a good place to toss your 'throw away dollars."

19.99us bought a pair of shoes, a hair cut, and a shave for a young man now living on the streets with schizophrenia - once a university professor in history.

Game developers have absolutely no right to feel entitled to make a game so challenging in land expansions, culture and population that they make 150 million in profit off people hoping to keep up in building their cities.

Did any of you get that? 150 million - on a game.

First of all, they didn't just make that money from THIS game alone. Inno has multiple games and employ over 400 people. They also have expenses like running the servers, bandwidth, office space, taxes, etc. I'm sure they also make a profit, but I can't blame anyone for wanting to do that.

Second, it's not your place, or anyone else's to tell people how to spend their money. We all hope that people are charitable, and most people are. Lots of people are very generous and give to hundreds of different organizations to help others.

If you want to blame someone for spending a few bucks on a game, then the same could be said on anything else. Have you gone to the movies? Have you bought yourself a candy bar? My god, you have a computer?? You could have fed thousands of people with that. :p

As for the game, the fact that LOTS of people are able to advance without spending money on the game is proof that the game is actually quite fair. If I can go from chapter 1 to woodelves in less than 9 months without buying any premium buildings or expansions, then you can too. If you prefer to spend your money helping others, GREAT! That is a wonderful, noble thing you are doing. But don't try to make others feel crappy about their choices. And don't blame the game for being a challenge. Games can also lose players if it is TOO easy.

Right right. What that has to do with anything in here?

It is everyones own business if they use real money to this game or not. You have no right to judge them.
There are many worse things in the world to put your money into than this game.

Jeshua (Jesus) uses rightly word "sheep" about believers that follow Him, why you use the same word?

I am not trying to get any absolution, I just say that I do use real money to this game because I want to. Everyone has right also to choose that option.

Do you even know how many charity organizations just take peoples money but they do nothing. They just want you to give money what ever heart bleeding cause they seem to support yet they only abuse you. Many times money comes only to those that are already rich.
And about those earthquacks and hurriganes etc... we are only humans. We can't tell when or where next pestelense will appear, that is in GD*s hands. You can write all down what has happened within the year and try to find out how much Charity organizations have used money only for themselves.
I am one of those that belong in animal organizations. There are many species that are near extinction right now and same it will be tomorrow. We can't predict the future. But what we can do, is to take responsibility of our actions.

But none of those mentioned things belong here!
This is just a game for cryin' out loud!

Glad you're doing your part to save the world by complaining about a game on its forums. Much more effective than going out there, and, you know, volunteering.

I have to say that I am impressed by the fury and hatred that Juliandra is exhibiting over this game's design. If I have things correct, she thinks that spending money on the game is wrong. That not having unlimited space is a poor design as well as not being able to build whatever building that you want and upgrading it to the max. And the fact that the game has bugs is a total disgrace. I'm not positive, but I think if you enjoy the playing Elvenar, you are probably a suspect in some heinous crime in her eyes.

Okay, let's look at these points. If you want to spend money on the game, that's fine by me. I'm not going to tell you how to spend your money. I'm hoping you're an adult and can make that decision. For me, I have not spent any money on this game and have no plans to do so.

This is a city-builder and as is typical, space is an issue. Part of the challenge of playing this game is what to build and how many to build and to fit it all in a small amount of space. I think that is what attracts all of us to playing this game. I enjoy trying to figure out how to squeeze in all the buildings that I want into the space that I have. And as things grow in size, I have to try to figure out how to make the changes necessary to allow my city to grow.

I honestly can't think of any games in the last decade that don't have bugs. I play two different online games and every update has bugs that will be patched eventually. And sometimes that patches cause other problems. At least the programmers are trying to improve the game by not only adding new content, but also by trying to improve upon existing content. Sometimes they do things that most people like and sometimes they don't.

Juliandra, please take a deep breath and relax. It's a game, so have fun.

Can not believe this discussion is still going on!! I has been a platform for Juliandra's rants for pages. May I suggest all refrain from responding & put this subject to bed to bed?
