Same here, US3 is down, app doesn't work either.
(The app also has another annoying problem because of this though, after trying to login on the app, it keeps prompting an error message saying "something's missing, check your internet connection", where you can only click 'retry', not cancel or something, therefore making it impossible to switch servers to login to another world, because that error popup comes back immediately, sitting in the way of the login screen to try to login elsewhere.)
Anyway, EN1 doesn't seem to be having the server issue btw, so it's really only the US servers that are affected.

The problem likely stems from Germany as all USA servers are nonresponsive.

Yeah this is crazy... Everything is absolutely down!!
How does that happen... They should have backed up ways and mirrors to prevent an outage like this!

It could be an issue related to the update this morning. Sometimes it's best to pull the plug and do a hard stop then to let things go further off the rails. Better for support and the players. If indeed the shutdown is software related. Been there, done that. Could also be a good ol' data center fiber cut. Been there, done that too.

If it was the update, then other servers should have the same issue as they were also updated, yet they seem to have no issues.

C-Nymph, that's the normal app response when logon is not available. Wondering if some our European night owls are seeing this or our Australian folks are having issues as well?

But all worlds ARE down. I have also seen a post from a player who tried Forge of Empires (also by Inno) and it is down also. This makes me think it is either a hardware issue or Inno has been hacked.
