and i laugh watching Denver struggle so much. when Geno came in and performed better than Wilson with the struggling Seahawks, it was easy to see the problem was Russ. Pete did the right thing letting him go.
And Denver gave him a 5 year deal when they traded for him. If I were a Bronco's fan I would be very worried how he might be playing a few years down the road...

It's a team sport. The QB can be brilliant and will pull things out once in a while, but on the whole, unless everyone doesn't their job (channeling Bill) they cannot sustain a winning record. Matthew Stafford is a great example of that.

The G men are banging out the wins right now. Barkley is a great player. And Jones is not doing horribly.

Mills in Houston is gonna be an interesting issue. Definitely not ready to be thrown to the wolves since the team around him is not very good.

Wentz has no O-Line and Rivera is not a good coach. Wentz needs a Mike Tomlin, although Tomlin has Pickett who is EXCITING to watch.

Rush hour is FUN FUN FUN to watch and I am NOT a cowgirls fan at all, being an Eagles fan. He will have a job elsewhere if he wants it and he's playing like he does.

The Jets are a huge surprise. I just wish they played a little defense. LOL.

Jimmy G has hit the magic again.

I'm a Mahomie, so watching that flip play Sunday night made me smile. He plays like the kids on the backyard.

I cannot stand Aaron Rogers at all. He's arrogant and horrible. His comments after this game and the way he denigrated Zappe was truly offensive. The kid hasn't ever taken a snap in the NFL before, not played with the number one's and out there he goes because Mac and Hoyer are out and he hits it pretty well.

The Tua situation is concerning. Although, the NFLPA dismissing the 'independent neurology specialist' was not entirely justified. By firing him, they silently condemned him to the aspersion of malpractice, which may or may not be the case. I do think that Tua was concussed. But if he answered the question appropriately, demonstrated the things that he needed to, with having a 'back' issue that the team doctor was previously aware of, I'm not sure his returning to pay was the indies fault as much as it was the team doctor.

And just because I love to talk football. When they make the schedule, it's so odd how unequal the strength of schedule is. According to all the analysts the Eagles have one of the easiest schedules based on their algorithms. I'm not sure how that's even determined.

It sure helps that the Eagles are in the same division as the New York and Washington, so they play them twice a year. Yes the Giants do look to be somewhat improved, but I am still not sold on them as a good team. I think they have improved from being utterly terrible to merely being a bad team. And because of an easy schedule so far, they have picked up a couple of wins.

My poor Steelers. *sigh* I usually enjoy watching the Bills but that hurt today.
Between a rookie QB and TJ Watt being out, the Steelers are in a rough spot right now. The good news is, Pickett will gain experience and TJ is expected to return in a few more weeks. So the back half of the season might be better.

That's true. I was pleased (and a little surprised) that through at least the first half of the game, they actually looked pretty good. They were moving the ball well, and the defense was hanging in there outside of a few big plays. The Bills are just rolling right now. Hopefully this game didn't mess with the Steelers' heads too much and they can let it go and focus on moving forward. I think when TJ comes back the defense has the potential to be scary good, since they've had a lot of fire even without him.

How did Washington/Chicago end up as the Thursday night game? Amazon should comp anyone who streams this game with a free month of Prime. You know: don't worry about your bill this month. This one is on us since you sat through *THAT* game. LOL

Genuinely shocked by today's Panther/Buccaneers game. In the week leading up to the game, the Panthers traded off Christian McCaffery to the 49s. He was both the leading rusher and leading receiver on the team. I believe before today's game he had 40% of the team's total yards. They also traded the #2 wide receiver Robbie Anderson to the Cardinals. And the 3rd string QB, PJ Walker is playing because both Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold are still out. With all that, I expected the Bucs to blow my Panthers out. Instead, we win 21-3.

I am also not sure when the last time a Tom Brady led offense failed to score a single touchdown. But I think it has been awhile. I am not sure which 3-4 team is more surprising: the Bucs or the Packers. Both were expected to be playoff teams. And right now it looks doubtful for both.
