Funny stuff out of fellowship chats

Time is up to collect funny, interesting or even mysterious quotes out of the fellowship chats.

Here we go with the first one, from a new fellow who had just joined one of my highly spire active fellowships yesterday:

"I have never had so many additional chests on the first floor as in your spire, 6 additional chests in the first third today, to a maximum of 4 to 5 in the last six months in the whole spire."

Second one is out of TimeMachine's "Lost and Found Department". :)

fellow: Hmmm, I see that someone has polished my Phantom Bear. I was not aware I have a bear phantom.
In fact I can't seem to find it in all the wiggling structures of my city.
Are Phantom bears invisible? Even if I had one, I would question the wisdom of polishing a bear.
Maybe with a feather duster, but nothing more abrasive. Nothing worse than a scratchy bear.

me: Hello (acountname removed), I will visit your city now - in order to find your phantom bear.
You can trust me, I was doing stuff like this back in the days as a supporter on (
country removed).

...10 minutes later...

me: I've found it - The phantom bear is at the lower right corner of your city to it's right are those 2 Barrel Cranes. The phantom bear seems to be almost invisble but its outlines are shimmering in that elvarian magic blue colour. ;)

fellow: Oh, hold on...He's not an egg shaped thing? "E's a stiff! Bereft of life, E' rests in peace." To channel Monty Pythons.
A real ectoplasm bear. I see him now. Perhaps I should move him closer to the ectoplasm ferret. Thanks.

Third one is out of my FA-specialists fellowship, I would title this dialogue "Happy Spire Climbing".

me: "First! Blueprint grabbed!" :)

...1 minute later...

mage 1: "Second" :D

...5 minutes later...

archmage: "Well at least bronze for me ;-) Third. 100 diamonds, 2 Dwarven Armorers and a few hundred thousand moonstone from Glido"

mage 2: "Can be swapped, I have a few hundred thousand platinum"

archmage: "Yes of course ;-)"

...2 minutes later

mage 2: "Fourth "

Ambassador: "I have the Glido on 10, I think he's cute in purple fur :)"

The fourth one is from one of my two easy playing fellowships - I would like to title it with "Daily Quests"

07:38 p.m. mage:"I'm happy when I get the daily task done :)"

07:41 p.m. me: "It's going to be tight for me here today - maybe I can manage it later."

07:42 p.m. mage: "The thing with that heap of mana just worked with the builder's hut... phew :-DDD"

02:11 a.m. me: "Damn too late, new daily quests again. :D"

Of course everybody is invited to add stuff from their chats here too.

But please keep in mind to not post accountnames without having a permission from the accountowner to do so. ;)

The "Good Night-Chat"

mage: "The true age is felt, not counted?"

fellow one: "Phew then I'm even older than I already am :D

fellow two: "That's why I am still 26 and this again and again."

fellow one: "And you can't say anything against that :)"

mage: "Otherwise you get pink rompers with bright green dots?"

fellow one: "Yes, there are pink hearts in the bright green dots :p"

fellow two: "I think I have to sew one of these things :) it would definitely be cute."

...15 minutes later...

mage: "Wow, I'm totally imagining things^^"

fellow one: "What things?"

mage: "Because of possible pajama outfits, created by (accountname removed):)"

archmage: "By the end of the tournament it'll be torn and covered in blood anyway!"

"The tournament in a fellowship of casual players"

me: "Wow! I've won 597K mana in last tournament with the help of Enar's Embassy."

mage: "Too bad, unfortunately no blueprint again."

me: "Yep, unfortunately not, maybe we can do one again this week? In any case, I'm going to expand my timewarp first."

co-archmage: "At the end of the current chapter I will also unlock the timewarp. This allows me to get a few more points.
But there's still a long way to go until then!
The last participation of the fellows was actually good! But only 17 out of 24 were there! We often fail just at the tenth chest."

ambassador: "I wasn't there for 4 days, I hope I can use more in the next tournament."

new fellow: I'll be joining this week!"

co-archmage: "It's not a problem that 2 - 3 of the people aren't there! That's how it should be!"

fellow: "I play in other worlds too, but I have to say that I now enjoy playing here the most because this community is very active in every way. I hope that no one slips into the slime trail.:D"

me: Good evening club! Thank you (accountname removed), reading something like that always puts a smile on my face. :)

"On the edge of the world"

archmage: "Hey there, is everything okay?"

mage 1: "Obviously"

mage 2: "No, the market here is torture!"

mage 1: "That's true but in the west of my city the big nothing comes to me :-/"

mage 2: "So there is still a lot going on here, if these are not all corpses"

mage 1: "Well hopefully we will be moved soon ;)"

"fellowship progress"

me:"Player 1, your Hero Forge is already full, I'm putting the KPs in your Abyss."

me: "Player 2, your needles are ready! ;)"

Player 2: "Thanks :)"

mage: "Guys please don't react to my trades, I'm on a robbery spree again."

Player 1: "It's really a great community and cooperation here...it's fun to play when everyone helps each other...just a big compliment and thank you to everyone."

archmage: "Player 1, thank you for the praise, that's the only way to make progress."

Here is some funny stuff from another forum. It is about translation and or amusement. I've just had a very good laugh by reading this! :D
I really second that quote from user 4 a lot!

CM: "Dear humans and elves, We look forward to your feedback on the upcoming event "The Whole Evening of Howling"."

user 1: "...now be honest - haven't you found a better translation for "All howl's eve" than " The whole evening of howling" ? - sounds awful...

...how about Aller heul igen - that would at least be funny...especially since "all howl's eve" is derived from "all hallows' eve", which is simply the evening before All Saints' Day - or in other words: Halloween...."

user 2: "The event title sounds as if Inno or the translator had been inspired by the forums. As a little slap in the face for complainers.:D

user 3: "Yes, some English titles are not easy to translate, but then you just have to come up with something suitable or leave it."

user 4: "Well, I find that funny :D and I just assume that it is not a translation mess.
But a conscious amusement But anyway... Thank you for that, it's really good! :)

I would like to title this "secret recording" with "The King of the World"

fellow: "(accountname removed) made it to number 1… now he's getting even higher :)))"

archmage: "Until (accountname removed) is through..."

fellow: "Archmage, it's time for you to be back up there ;-)"

archmage: "No, everything has its time... It's going to be difficult to get to page 1.
When everyone is through, too many people will have all the wonders... I'll be missing 150-200k ranking points."

fellow: "First of all, I'm happy about my 3 million."

archmage: "It's not that important to me anymore, just like the tournament.
Everything has been postponed. Because of the blue birds there at ......................
In the past, it was divided into provinces and in tournament it was possible to play at such a high level every week."

fellow: "There are more important things ;-))"

me: "For sure! :D"

Just as a little reminder: "Don't forget to feed your Ashen Phoenix before the event starts!" ;)

mage "Good night, before I forget again, I'd better feed the bird now."

archmage "You're right :)"

me "As always, I have no pet food "

Inactivity

mage: "(accountname removed) was last active on September 15th, almost 4 weeks ago, in fact it's been over four weeks.
He was only active with us for a very short time, he hadn't done anything for over 7 months before that, before he was with us.
It's time to say goodbye!"

archmage: "Yes, as soon as we have a new teammate we will release him unless he wakes up again."

mage: "That's right"

archmage: "It is becoming increasingly difficult to find new players."

mage: "I know that this is partly due to the many changes, which take the fun out of the game."

"The spire is no longer as attractive as it used to be, the rewards have become a joke, you used to get magic buildings and they hardly exist anymore, it's hard enough even for me to progress."

archmage: "I totally agree with you and I don't think it will get any better."

mage: "All the guilds are angry about it."

archmage: "I think some of the reasons are to make more money and buy time to create new chapters, but I think that's backfiring."

mage: "That's how it will be. Personally, I have now devoted myself to playing Skat online again after a long time and to my railway program, I have enough to do."

archmage: "Yes, this is how the end begins and you won't be the only one, but we are still active and determined."

mage: "I'm off now."

archmage: "Ok, see you soon and good night"

I can't see this fellowship lasting long either. They're talking themselves into quitting rather than enjoyment. Every change that has been done has some goodies in it. And if it's too much there's always more relaxed way of play.

The Blueprint

mage 1: "What is bp?"

mage 2: "Blueprint, we can get them in spire now."

ambassador: "British Petroleum?"

"In younger days I had an MGB. Had a bumper sticker that said, "Any parts falling from this car are of the finest British manufacture." On the other side of the bumper, "Lucas Electrical System, the Prince of Darkness."

mage 1: "lol"

Spire Changes - Unfiltered Feedback from Overseas

user 1: "...the only downside for me are the diamonds:
they were a reason to have several secondary cities (two) to collect slides for the main Acc.

But I am glad that this has now limited me to one city."

user 2: "I also miss the diamonds as a community reward in the first two spire levels. Instead, we are now fobbed off with combination catalysts at the end, which does not replace the diamonds. I also can't do much with the constantly recurring Spirit Flowers in the spire. But my main concern is the diamonds. In my opinion, these are essential to help new players in the spire game. The upgrades of the ancient wonders has been made more difficult, and players with few points now have a harder time progressing in the spire. This often means that they have to convince ghosts, which in turn sometimes costs diamonds.

I think it's unfair that diamonds are now only available as a reward at the top of the spire at 1,330 points. This change does not promote the community spirit, but rather has the opposite effect. Communities are now forced to only accept players with high points in order to reach the top of the spire. That's why I would like to see the diamond rewards for spire levels 1 and 2 reactivated. That would significantly strengthen the motivation and cohesion in the communities."

user 3: "Somehow it seems to me as if the time boosters and slides are becoming significantly less.

The spire is becoming less and less worthwhile."

user 4: "There are just fewer slides and time boosters in the spire, but lots of other useful stuff. I think the changes are OK as they are now, unfortunately the rewards are being messed around with again on beta. I have no idea which idiots were upset about the flower tomes, as a replacement there is now a ridiculous magical dowry or alternative similar rubbish, great, your moaning has really paid off."

user 3: "The improvements or worsenings always backfire.

Everything used to be better^^"

user 5: "Spirit Flowers... 27 in Sinya, 22 each in Cera and Khel. In my opinion, definitely too many. OK, probably great for the trading faction, but personally I'm not going to switch to trading. And that's exactly what the game is supposed to do to be interesting. That is, leave the options open. Whether it's fighting or trading. If it's too one-sided, it gets boring.

I can understand that the time boosters are being reduced. But the situation is too different here. I'm poor in Sinya because I produce a lot in the Aka. Cera and Khel offer too little in the Aka... hence a huge supply.

Start with the famous battle boosters, which I can only get in Sinya. Cera and Khel are like a desert. As mentioned elsewhere: there is too much other stuff in the slot for you to be lucky enough to get anything.

But it's not just the spirit flowers. The tomes of double and triple virtues are nice, but they could be reduced in half and replaced with 5h boosters. The dwarven armorer also seem a bit rare. Maybe set the probability to 20%? A measure? I could also imagine variations: artifact tomes in the Tower of Phoenix and the like. Why? It's enormously helpful for beginners to win them there. In the Aka it takes ages and the costs are rather daunting.

And yes, 150 diamonds would look good in the top of the tower, as would 50 in the laboratory... I'm not like that :broad_grin_elf:.

Well, that was my wish and complaint list."

user 6: "No, that's one of the best prices for me because that's where the spectral stones are. Otherwise, how is my little trader supposed to get to the top of the tower every week?

But I fear that such ideas will be implemented (see Spirit Flowers).

Things were a little better when there was still the idea forge and voting. At least you could console yourself with the fact that most people were in favor of something that wasn't so great for your own game."

user 2: "It would of course be much better to vote on the above changes if you could choose the best option for yourself from the available options. It would be even better if you could put forward your own suggestions, which would then be considered as possible options for change.

In the spire, it is of little use to me if I reach the top of the spire as a single player and get over 100 diamonds on the way there, while barely half of my community is playing because many of them are barely making any progress and the few rewards are no incentive. Only a communal diamond reward could increase motivation again. Therefore, I am again calling for the old diamond rewards that could be earned as a community to be reactivated.

As an archmage, I have been supporting my community free of charge every day for almost 3 years. Now I'm hoping for some support from Elvenar: Please reactivate the old diamond rewards in the Spire of Eternity so that the fun and motivation for playing the tower together can be revived."

user 7: "3, 4, 5 Elden Sapphires as prizes on the doors are really annoying.
We should think about this again.

I'm happy with smaller quantities too.
A few slides at the gates as a collective reward would be motivating."

user 8: "...I'm more likely to assume that the diamonds in the game will be reduced even further and that the sapphires will be used in other ways that previously required diamonds to be paid for...according to INNO, a sapphire is worth 15 diamonds..."

user 9: "But only after Christmas!"

user 10: "Optimist!"

user 2: "If the diamond rewards for the spire fellowship rewards were to return at the turn of the year, that would be great - a perfect way to start the new year! To show how important the diamonds in the spire are to me for fellowships that don't make it to the top of the spire, I will be going on a Spire-Strike after the Fellowship Adventure until Christmas. This means that I will pause the spire-game during this time to send a clear message. If other players feel the same way, they are welcome to join in to express their displeasure as well."

user 8: "....well, if you think - as long as there were more slides, 70% of the participating communities still didn't make it to the first diamonds and of those that did, not all players actually got diamonds - I don't think you can impress INNO with this strike...those who like the spire (and have always liked it) will continue to play just as they have before (because you can still get valuable things there - including diamonds) - and those who didn't like it and only took part because of the community now have one more (good) reason not to play the spire..."

user 5: "What about the spire merchant? Shouldn't he be showing up soon? And the spire wonder?

The year is almost over and both were announced for this year and not only that... I seem to remember there was more *ponder*."

user 8: "...Yes - We were promised a completely new type of event..."

CM: "We are working on it. As soon as there is any news, you will be informed."

user 2: "Yes, at the moment I only find the top of the spire really attractive in terms of community rewards. The removal of diamond rewards for the lower levels has certainly not helped more players to participate in the spire. Of course, I know that my sole strike is unlikely to make much of an impression on the Elvenar team. That's why I hope that more players will join in and work together to bring back the old diamond rewards. There are certainly some in my community who would join in out of solidarity. Unfortunately, just complaining hasn't helped so far, so I'm going to try this route now.

user 8: "...The only thing that will happen is that you won't get any more diamonds in spire until Christmas - I, for one, won't stop storming the spires because it still gives me 7x diamonds and I'll need them when the Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers come in 5 weeks...and it might be the last time I can use them."

CM: "User 2, If I were you, I would read the terms and conditions . If you continue to call for a "strike", we will unfortunately have to delete these posts."

user 2: "Which paragraph exactly is that?

Do you mean § 12.3?
“As a user, you will refrain from doing anything that endangers or disrupts the operation and functionality of the games and the harmonious interaction between users.”

With my action, I don't want to endanger the spire-game, but rather promote it. The goal is to give less experienced players a better chance of safely obtaining diamonds in the spire-game, as they used to."

CM: "Constructive feedback can have a greater impact than a boycott. The changes have already been implemented and further adjustments have recently been made based on community feedback.

The spire offers more than just diamonds; there are other rewards as well. Since players have different play styles, these rewards may be attractive to different individuals. However, it is unlikely that the amount of diamonds that used to be available in the spire will return."

user 2: "Regarding diamonds, which is my main concern, there has been no adjustment yet. Wouldn't it be an option to test with a reduced amount of diamonds to see if that would increase the motivation for the spire, especially among the less experienced players?"

Reward Chests

mage 1: "I am working needles and PT to level 5. Put 1 KP on for the chests and I will do the rest."

me: "Hello fellows :) 3 chests left at mage 1, 2 at ambassador. ;)"

ambassador: "Kind of like the old school radio baseball calls. 3 to the left field with ambassador at bat. Who'a on first?"

mage 2: "1 chest left at ambassador. 2 chests left on mage 1's PT. 3 chests left at mage 1's needles."

ambassador: "In my defense, my father was a doctor. Mage 1's needles just sounds painful."

mage 1: "I don't much like needles either. But free KP is free, only 1 KP needed to get 5 KP."

me: "I've taken the last chest. Thanks mage 1!"

Prosperity

archmage: "Well, you have prosperity but you don't use it mage ;) You don't have a settlement yet!"

ambassador: "Mage then you don't have any guest race buildings?"

mage: "Do I need prosperity like culture to be able to build the buildings?"

archmage: "Exactly, but only for settlement" ;)

mage: "I'm still undecided whether I should do the next GR right away or take a break first.
OK, so without a guest race it's unimportant."

ambassador: "Yep"

archmage: "All researches after the Avenger are just relaxing! You can pause or research... completely stress-free." ;)

mage: "But I can't relax, when I start I want to finish, just like the quests in the event, in no time at all until I get to the daily tasks."

archmage: HaHa :D

archmage: "Well, for me, music, Vallorian and now the harbor were just a relaxing research break... there were events in between... but actually the quests were completed on their own?"

mage: "Now I'm going to build up my manufactories from my inventory to level 34 and at the same time do the research that works without guest race goods."

archmage: "See! That's exactly what I mean ;) You want to bring everything to status quo first anyway... and settlement would only be a nuisance anyway... the devs have thought of everything." :)

Archmage: "Ohlala, ambassador 1's industrial estate is awesome!"

Mage: "Don't rush me" :)

Archmage: "I would never allow myself to do that"

Mage:: ;) "I'm really jealous of the green phoenix - great!" :)

Archmage: "Wow, since when are the new expansions available?
I just noticed it now. Recently I only had the one row on the left and now I have a football pitch :)

Ambassador 1: "Archmage, if only 5-7 people join in again, you have to get creative...
I'm still missing so many artifacts and I'm hoping that they'll be available at the FA." :)

"And don't forget: Start the 48 hour productions tomorrow evening so that they are ready for the FA start." ;)

"Archmage! Two rows have been added down below and on the right... you can finally let off steam and put everything from your inventory there." :)

Archmage: "Hahaha, yes in the next life." :)
