Gaze Yonder Quest done not crediting

I'm relatively new. I am just up to Research Level III, and Gaze Yonder quest is asking for me to "research Advanced Scouts", which I have already done at the beginning of Research Level II. How do I get him to credit that I've done that? All the rest of the quests have automatically updated that I completed the quest.

Advanced scouts quest repeats :) At the end of each Era there is an "Advanced Scouts" . Its under the golden chest. The question is, how far are you in era III.
