Happy Thanksgiving !!!!

:eek::rolleyes:o_O:mad:
These are for when Uncle Charlie shows up and starts talking…

May the Thanksgiving feast and snacking be grand and abundant, despite the Uncle Charlies. I’m sure there is an Uncle Charlie in every fam. I’m also sure Buddy is off exploring deep frying frozen turkeys because it has a high probability for fire. (Can we get a Bud Sorceress emoji?)

Deep fried turkeys are the BEST. The only problem is that the peanut oil costs 3x the cost of the turkey. Solution: deep fry 2 and cut and freeze one and invite your neighbors over to deep fry their turkeys (help them). Indoors or out, put old corrugated cardboard under the burner to catch splatter. Other advantages: turkey only takes 45 minutes to cook and it leaves the oven available for lots of fresh pies.

Help the neighbor on Thanksgiving? That’s too much Thanksgiving spirit! I helped over 100 neighbors in my elf game. Does that count? Though that sounds like the grocery store promo where they say if you spend $X in weeks leading up to Turkey Day, you get a free turkey. One of the 3 NH chests should win you a free turkey if you did enough NH this week.

Also, there was a cop car directing traffic in and out of the grocery store this week. I said if that’s what the outside of the store looks like, then I am not going inside to face the maddening crowd just for pie ingredients. You don’t have this problem by you because the cows don’t bake, right @muffy?

I woke up on Thanksgiving morning and discovered I woke up. Boy, am I thankful for that. Through the day my heart kept beating. Thankful for that too! If you think about it, a life of being thankful is probably the hardest thing to reach since we have so much to be thankful for and most of it...including breathing and a beating heart.... we just sort of take for granted. So be thankful for the little the things!

Happy Thanksgiving.

AJ

@SoggyShorts I celebrate it every day! (You probably do too, right?).
