Hello im new to the game. i have played grepolis and forge of empires, so i thought i would give this game a try. :)

Welcome to the game and the forum, skyraven. Sit back and enjoy, that is unless you are looking for another Grepolis type game. This is more of a build and wait type. You can take your frustrations out on the different encounters that you have to beat or negotiate with when gaining relics, for boosts , knowledge points, for research and provinces, for expansions.
With that said, again, welcome to the forum and the game.
