How many hours for tournament rewards?

I would put the same level of effort in one city - the same level of detail. To make sure I could compete and help my fellowship in the tournament. The same thing I described above where I mentioned I have 4 cities is true for one. The same level of effort to make sure I am prepared for the tournament and that I continue to replenish resources after every set of provinces. If I decide to do a thing, I try to do it well.

And I expect timely rewards for everyone who puts in the effort. If there is some game rule I missed about receipt of tournament rewards, I'd appreciate a link. Otherwise, you are beating a dead horse. Responding to you trying to convince me over and over that I need to pare down my game play is actually interfering with my time when I'm not working when I can do some more intensive things in my cities. Please let it go.

I can't be the only one who notices that progress in the tournament provinces gets more difficult as you go along. Smaller cities are having to train more troops if they are fighting, and require more goods - not the same amount - than they were producing before the tournament started.

I suppose you can get by if you do no growth in your city for a four day tournament, then train and stockpile goods and supplies (which can't really be stockpiled) for the next tournament that starts three days after the last one ended.

If you want to do continuous training of troops for a 16 hour tournament province cycle, that means you need to calculate exactly when to come back, collect your trained troops and start the training cycle again. You can upgrade an armory or more while you're doing that, but it would be suicidal to upgrade your training grounds or barracks (unless you have some 5 or 8 hour instants stashed) while you are training troops.

I know it's been a while for some of you since you had a Chapter 4 or smaller city. I'm working my real life job during the tournaments, and it's not always possible to come to my cities (I have 4) when a training or production cycle is over to start it up again. I lose training cycles and miss out on a timely collection of goods, but this is a game and my job is real life.

Regardless of city size, players are putting in effort to play in the tourneys. I am in 4 good, strong fellowships now, and part of the fun is helping each other succeed and cheering each other on. The effort deserves the reward.

When I first started playing in mid-March this year, tourney rewards were nearly instantaneous at the end of the tourney. They have gotten more and more delayed ever since then. I don't think it's too much to ask the developers to go back and take a look at how they may have "improved" the game with upgrades and see where the bug came up. The tech part should be right up their allies.

ALL cities have to train more troops and produce more goods as their cities progress. It's the nature of the game. In all 8 of my cities I have troops on continuous training. I don't have to calculate when to come back because with the barracks and training grounds fully loaded it takes about 7-9 hours to complete so when I swing back around to pick up productions I top up the barracks and training grounds so they're never empty. I always save my spire wins (5 hr time boosters) for upgrading so there's no down time.

My smallest city is Ch 4 so no, it hasn't been a while at all - I know how hard ch 4 is.

The thing is, there is nothing in the rewards package that you need to continue productions. Throughout the tourney pp and manufacturing spells are given instantly so those should keep you going in the mean time.

I totally get that it's frustrating to have to wait but you're not losing anything by waiting those 16 hours. They showed up in the end and the devs are trying to fix the issue.

My troop levels are pretty low -- I'm excited when I have 10 whole squads of each troop type, and am usually just barely refilling my squads between tourney or Spire rounds -- but I scrape by.
This desperation is what led me to learn the art of manual fighting. My squads lingered at 5x for a few of those early chapters and I don’t think they hit 10x til Fairies. Not repeating that in my second city though ;)
