How to partially quote a post on the App

Is it possible to quote only a section of other posts on the App? The quote button gives me the entire post (sometimes rather lengthy) and it is only one point I wish to refer to.

If by app, you mean the forum, you can select the text and then it will pop up +Quote | Reply options. Select +Quote. Then click Insert Quote and it will go into the reply box.

I just recently learned how to do this. Someone gave me step by step very detailed instructions lol. Highlighting was involved and something else bc accidentally had hit quote in post and it saved others.

Honeybubbles, follow Crackie's advice on how to quote the entire thing. Then, when it is in your reply box, you can delete the parts you don't want, the same as you would delete text in any document or Word program you use. Put your cursor at the end and backspace if you're just taking out a sentence. If you're removing paragraphs, highlight the entire portion you don't want and then hit backspace once.

Thank you :) My lap top died a couple of months back and locating all the editing tools on mobile is much harder without tooltips.

You can just highlight the text for the part you want to quote and click the popup +Quote. If you want to quote the entire thing, click the +Quote on the bottom of the post.

You can also highlight just the part you want to use. :) I recently learned this.
