Not all luck, just lots of saving- I have over 5,000 snowflakes on Beta, could open 37 big boxes-- "should" get 10 no problem counting the "free" boxes when you get snowflakes. But I'll probably hold out and get 10 winter stars instead.
EDIT: LIES! I did not "hold out" I couldn't pass up this nice tree. Still saving 4,800 snowflakes for the Winter star though *crosses fingers* "please don't be ugly"

That must be on beta, on live the daily is that green flame.
@SoggyShorts - even with saving, I counted 9 trees of some kind there (1,260 snowflakes just for those 9 @ 140 per exchange since this gives the best possible odds of winning), don't know if they have more in the buildings tab. I would say that is quite a bit of luck. When you look at volume of rewards some players have reported already when going for a specific daily building.

On Beta if you have finished quest 100 you should have around 5,300 snowflakes (unless you spent some, and there are no other event items in his city)
That's enough to get 37 big boxes
37*0.25=9.25 "wins"
I would say he was perfectly average in his luck.
Now I opened
- Tree
- 140 snowflakes
- 12 Gem relics (which is my boost)
- Tree
- Tree
- Tree (got greedy, paid off)

I have spent over 1200 snowflakes in each city. I do have one tree. and I dig get one yellow frozen flame. that is it. lol. but 9 of the exact same gift. no that is not average. that is super super lucky and I want to take that person to vegas! lol

Update, I talked to ag123, and he said he used approx 2500 snowflakes, so he got about double the number of trees that you'd expect. (now you know where yours went @Jewess )
Update 2: I opened 1 more box, and got one more SCT. The 4 I have now will carry me from the start of chapter 4 to early dwarves provided I can get some winter stars

At this point, I'm no longer worried about the winter star being ugly, I just hope I get it because my luck is rotten. I'm really tempted by the snowy charming tree but decided to save all my flakes for the winter star. I dang well better get at least one.
