KP Quest overwrite earned KP, and restart timers.

I read somewhere that Knowledge Points from Gifts are not suppose to take away from earned ones, but it has happened too me twice now.
It also resets the timer, so if you were only 10 mins from earning one, you lose that as well. Im down 6 KP because of it.

Most players are not experiencing an overwrite. Can you give reproduction steps for this? The normal behavior is that once you receive your 10th or high knowledge point in the queue (or 20th with inspiring meditation), the progress toward the next knowledge point is reset to zero and does not accumulate further until you spend knowledge points to bring the queue down to 9 or less (or 19 or less with inspiring meditation).

I won 2 KP with ribbons when I was sitting at 9, at least I thought so, but wasnt sure so ignored it because it wasnt much. But then I won 10 KP this am, and I swear I had 4, but I am being told that is not possible. Its not much, but Ive only been playing a week, and between the create 1200 goods and buy 10 KP quest over and over, it isnt exactly fun...... Anyway on a good note, thanks for the info on Inspiring Meditation, I had no idea what that was so I scrapped it for spell fragments.....

You'll have to pay close attention, @Beatleguise , and see what exactly happens with your numbers. While winning KP should not affect the total number of KP you had sitting in your bar (except to add exactly that number), it will stop the timer that runs indicating when you would have gained another hourly KP. That is why I am careful not to collect any KP when my bar is almost full and my timer close to generating a new one. I make sure to dump a few into the tech tree or an AW (mine or someone else's) first.

You can grab screen shots of before and after to help document if there is truly a problem.

It has only been a problem when I won them in the Winter random gifts, but I make sure Im at 0 now just in case.

Ok. Just to make sure, I am including a breakdown of some of the things that look or seem like KP, that may not be. You definitely could have a bug, but since you are pretty new, I just want to cover these other possibilities.

In the image below, you see a KP Instant, Regular KP, and an Inspiring Meditation enchantment, which looks similar to the KP symbol, but it gold. If you received the regular KP, it should have registered in your KP bar in addition to whatever KP you had in there to begin with. An Inspiring Meditation enchantment goes into your inventory and is used to increase your KP bar from a max of 10 to a max of 20. (I keep one of those active at all times). The KP Instant will also go into your inventory, in the instants tab, and can be used to help upgrade Ancient Wonders, not techs.
