Movie: Mortdecai (2015)

There are a lot of bad reviews of this movie on IMDB. As a result of that, I was a bit skeptical when I started watching it. I have to admit that it is not the best movie out there but, at the same time, it is not the abomination is it described as.

We have some thin British humor floating around, which is sometimes funny and sometimes not, depends on how you catch it. The character of Johny is rather strange, a rather jelly-smart-allec-adventurer type.

Overall movie is nothing superb and if you are looking to go out on a date of some sort, then don't pick that movie to be a part of it.

My final score for this piece is 5.5/10, rather average.

I pretty much like everything Depp does so I'll watch it anyway. Sometimes, though, I like mindless entertainment.;)

No question in my mind that Depp is the best actor I have ever seen. No one is remotely as versatile as he is. His movies aren't always the best, but I wouldn't miss one of them. My expectations on this one are pretty low, so that will likely help.

You saved me the disappointment then. I'm on a Depp binge at the moment.
