Sorry, ignore this thread. I realize my mistake now.
I'm sitting comfortably in Chapter V.
If I open the chest at the beginning of Chapter VI, does Chapter VI begin, and increase enemy army size, convincing cost, and quest requirement quantities?
I would have thought so, but I read somewhere (related to Elvenar event preparation, I think) that you're not in the next chapter until you've completed at least one research topic for that chapter.
Anyway, if I can get the scouting benefit from the chest and remain in Chapter V, great.
