New Member Rules for Participating

When a new member joins a fellowship, how long do they have to wait to participate in visits, tournaments and spire?

They can visit and be visited immediately.

I believe the current system won't allow them to join a spire already in progress.
Can never remember if that's true about tourny.

They actually cannot visit immediately in my experience. I and others have had to wait until the 24 hours is up since the last time they helped. Idk if it was due to a certain day or not.

If they change after recieving tourney rewards on Saturday, they will be able to participate in the spire next day and the next tourney. There is a time frame of a certain number of hours to do it. If it isn't done during certain time then they will have to miss out on it for a week until the next one.

Joining after the Spire launches but before the Tourney launches (like on a Monday), the new member would be able to participate in the tourney FS rewards, but not the Spire.
The 'window' of time you keep hearing about is from when the Tourney ends on Sat until the Spire starts on Sun. Members joining during those 'golden hours' will be able to participate in FS rewards from both Spire and Tourney. They still have the 24hrs before they can give/receive NH.

Late Saturday afternoon to early Sunday morning (for US players) is now the best time to change fellowships because both tournament and spire are over for the week. Switching in this brief window will allow you to participate fully in both spire and tournament in the next week. Just make sure somebody in the FS you are moving to knows you are applying to join and is ready to accept your application before the spire opens on Sunday morning. If your application to join the new FS is not accepted before the spire opens then you will be locked out of the FS aspect of spire rewards for the coming week.

Did not realize this. I guess we havn't had any personnel changes since perks started. Until just now, we just got an opening yesterday so I'll be better informed for a new guy.

Also, this happened to one of our new recruits and I've seen it posted here and on EN forums, but if they joined correctly after tourney and before next Spire but still see the lockout, it's a cache issue. They need to refresh or sign out/back in.
