Hello esteemed Elven and Human members. I have recent;y moved into the area and have run into things wanting to be levels that require larger footprints. Province exploration is becoming a problem too, because the armies are getting tougher and mine isn't yet, so I can't just keep unlocking them by scouting / completing since my fanny is getting handed to me. So unlocking more squares isn't easy, and I seem to need some to just shuffle things around. The other dreaded thought was to just blow away half of what I built and restructure / rebuild, although that is less than desirable due to the time / cost of building all of it in the first place. Now that I have seen the neat higher level layouts, I wonder how I will ever get mine adjusted. LOL. Suggestions? Thanks,

Demmona

When you do get expansions, it is always a good idea to keep one or 2 empty so you can adjust things around. The buildings change shape quite often, so you can plan your future city layouts Here:

If you have buildings that can be upgraded to the next size, you will always get more benefit out of selling some of those and upgrading the rest. When you sell some, adjust your city accordingly to accommodate the next size. You will see that this is the most desirable solution and the end result is worth it :)
Example: Level 7 (2x3) elf residence gives you 12 population and 425/hour coins. But a level 8 (3x3) gives you 70 population and 717/hour coins.

The only other real alternative you have is to sell all your roads, bunch up all your buildings to free up space. Use that space to reconfigure your city layout and then place your roads back.
