The good thing is the better pieces are daily prizes. The Frozen Fountain, with zero extra links active, is still a top 10 mana producer and gives the same mana per square/per hour as a Burning Pool or Manta Ray. And the Frozen Orc Vortex is okay for orc production. So if you win, say 5 of each, and you set them up around your city in pairs for the one link on each, you will have really good mana production and good orc production.
If you get the Giant's Hand from the Grand Prize, you will be able to get the 2nd link on the Frozen Fountain and Frozen Orc.

But only a single set and the Giant's Hand is huge at 5x4 for a tiny bit more from that extra link. The two daily pieces are 2x3 and 2x4, so winning multiples of those two pieces on their daily days means a lot more in a lot less space.

Oh, and the number of players who get to 300 points in any event is miniscule.

I wonder about the next fellowship adventure. Normally it gives an artifact after stage 2 and stage 3. However since this event has both an evolving building and a set, I wonder if the FA might give 1 artifact and 1 sorcery which allows you to summon any building from the Winter Set?

Oops. Brain fart. I was thinking that one was 240 and the other 300 even though you were very clear. So yeah. Not really worth it.
240 is the threshold for the Ice Mountain Troll in the royal prize package. That might have been what you were thinking of.

I don’t have a Beta account but I do visit the Beta forum. In the discussion of the Seasons feature Karvest posted some numbers that made it sound like it would be impossible to obtain the final prize The Somnial Pit even if you did all the daily and weekly quest for the 75 days. Can either of you confirm this or pose the question for the Beta CM? I would be most grateful, thank you in advance.

Agree about Frozen Foutain. It is a great mana producer. However I am not sure if it is worth putting out Frozen Orc Vortex to accompany it. The link bonuses are tiny: 10% extra is the link 1 bonus for both buildings. And even with 1 link bonus, Frozen Orc Vortex does not outperform an Orc Nest. They are easy to compare, since they are the same size. So essentially the question is: is it worth putting out an inferior orc producer in order to get a 10% increase in the mana production from your Frozen Fountain? I see it only being worthwhile if you have 1 Frozen Orc Vortex providing link bonuses to multiple Frozen Fountains. But not worth it if you only have 1 Frozen Fountain.

A bug report was made, so we just have to wait and see what we are told.

Wasn't the Winter Set which is being offered in this event the very first building set ever? When they started offering artifacts for the old evolving buildings in the spire, they started with the very first one and have proceeded in order of release. I wonder if they will now start offering the old building sets in a similar manner? Does anyone know what building set came after this one? If it pops up in the next event, I think we would have a trend.

I thought they did some individual buildings for an event or 2 as winter set was from first ever event. The woodelvenstock set was very early on and possibly the second set. Mine is only 1 chapter on from my winter set, snow owls and winter market were definitely after that one.

Unsure when the ones soggy mentioned were, think I missed or deleted those form inventory. Didn't they have issues with balance on some early sets?

That isn’t surprising the setup of the season pass rewards is really odd. Instead of a premium and free rewards being on a separate reward path with milestone being hit at the same time this as only one reward path with premium rewards scattered throughout on milestones with no free reward able to be received.

In my opinion, Inno has decided to replace their recyclable quests with an event styled season pass where your chances of reaching the end is extremely rare or non existent.

I think that the Winter set is the very first set building, it's from Christmas 2017. Woodelvenstock was next, and then the Harvest Festival, which spawned the Kirit and Kirat items, iirc.
This is correct, was checking back on gems website. First few events had individual items some of which haven't been offered since, to my knowledge.

Based on your post I just looked up Woodelvenstock on Elvengems. The page there says it will work in the same manner as the previous sets from the Three Glacier Giant and Phoenix Cult events. So based on this, it seems Woodelvenstock is set #3. Winter set (Three Glacier Giant event) is set #1. and Phoenix Cult is set #2.

FA is Announced on Beta for Thursday, with balancing changes:
We have made following changes for the new round of Fellowship Adventures:
  • We shuffled the badge requirements of all waypoints.
  • We increased the total number of badges required increased by 12%.
  • The Coin Sack badge quest is a bit easier now (the coin number is reduced by 17%).
  • Brewery badge is also easier to get (instead of 50 beverages, we ask for 25). However, the waypoints require more of that badge now.
  • Tome of Winter Artifacts are added as stage 2 and 3 rewards
