Hi everyone!

Version 1.206

It will go live on the EN servers from August 27th and all other servers from August 29th. The version will be available on mobile during that same week. Some bugs have been fixed!
  • The Tidal Hoarder displayed different production durations on both the browser and mobile and now the correct times are shown.
  • Sometimes the Dragon Abbey didn't produce the correct amount of Mana for certain players. Now it works correctly.
  • In some cases, on mobile, the event treasure was placed too close to the city grid and overlapping the buildings. This doesn't happen anymore.
  • Other small visual and translation issues have been fixed.
Do not hesitate to let us know your feedback on the changes by leaving a comment in: [link removed] Thank you for your help and assistance!

Hi everyone, We hope you're all having a wonderful 2025 so far! Today, we have some important and exciting news to share with you about 3 different topics:

New Community Building
New Chapter(s)
New Update Cycle

New Community Building

Curious about the results? Well, what can we say... when we checked the votes, we were very surprised to find the most evenly matched survey of all the ones we've had so far:
Option 1 (left) - 9494 votes (50,27%)
Option 2 (right) - 9393 votes (49,73%)

Due to this unlikely result, we've decided to make the extra effort and develop both buildings! The winner will be given out as a free gift to every player during Elvenar's 10th Anniversary, and the other will become our new Community Building (but instead of arriving in April, as intended, will come a little bit later, in summer)!

Next Chapter(s)

This year, we plan to bring you not one, but two new Chapters! Chapter 23 is planned for the summer, and Chapter 24 for end of 2025! We know how much new chapters matter for our players, so we made internal changes to make it possible to attempt releasing 2 new chapters per year! We'll share more details about Chapter 23 in the future, but for now we're super excited to announce its name - Secrets of the Unicorn (intriguing, right?), and a concept art piece for one of the new Ancient Wonders, called Unicorn Park!

New Update Cycle

Starting with v1.215, we'll have 1 new update every 3 weeks. Why? In short, to streamline our internal development process, assuring we have more time for new features and fixing bugs, so that everyone has a better experience playing Elvenar. What does it mean for you? On the surface, not much. You'll need to update your app once every 3 weeks instead of 2, and that's it. If there's an important bug to be fixed in between updates, we'll release a new version and fix it as soon as possible. This is a new process for us, so we can quickly revert back to 2 weeks if needed. We hope you enjoyed these news! If your have feedback or thoughts, please feel free to share them with us here: feedback-threads New Chapters, Releases and Comm… Kind regards, Your Elvenar Team

So there is more. The Beta CM had some questions, that he asked the Developers, and we got this back:
Jerry - Beta CM

Q: Are lost squads counted at the end of a battle before or after the effects of the Twilight Phoenix and Vitality Surges?
A: Lost squads are counted at the end of a battle when the player closes the battle results window, so after Vitality Surges are applied: Vitality Surges can be used to avoid squads being counted as dead. Twilight Phoenix will have slight change in mechanic.

Q: Will players be able to see their SVV after each Spire completion or climb, or will it remain hidden, only deducible from the rewards they get?
A: Players will be able to see and check their SSV during their Spire Run. Please be aware that the number only changes once between two Spire Runs, and not during your run.

Q: What is the exact conversion rate for Eldian Sapphire to the new currency ("Radiant Stones")?
A: The current plan is that you will be able to exchange 10 Eldian Sapphires to 1000 Radiant Stones. These numbers can still change though.

Q: Are there any plans to reintroduce Time Boosters in the e.g., Harold’s Shop?
A: There are currently no plans to do that, but we can look into it.
What time boosters would you be most interested in?

Q: The higher my skill becomes, the higher the number of my opponents is announced to be – will my troops also grow, or will they remain unchanged?
A: No, you will not need to send more units into battle. The amount of units you have to send into battle does not depend on the SSV, so you don't need more units than people with a lower SSV.

Q: What’s inside the Tome of Fruits? Is it new or is the same as the Fruitful?
A: Looks like a typo in the announcement. It should indeed be the Tome of the Fruitful.

Q: Do diamonds used in negotiations affect SVV or success stats?
A: The SSV is not affected by the negotiation game other than that it is noted if an encounter has been completed using Negotiation instead of Battle. Thus, it also doesn't make a difference if you used Diamonds for it or not.

Q: For negotiators, maintaining a combo score means I have to complete the encounter, no matter how many rounds or diamond rounds it takes? I just must not give up?
A: That is correct. You can even give up and retry, keeping your combo, if (!) you give up "early enough". Our current definition of "early enough" is to give up before the first spirit is convinced. We are also hearing your feedback about this particular rule and investigate if we can soften it further.

Q: Are the "radiant stones" a new third currency or just another name for the Volatile Sigils? If it's the former, meaning a new currency, then what are the Volatile Sigils for?
A: Volatile Sigils are only to use in Transcendence buildings/stages. They're a completely different resource for a different feature.

Q: Are the new "radiant stones" the only reward that is given in addition to the SSV/combo, or are there other resources as well? And do we receive these stones after every won encounter, or only once at the end of the tower?
A: Radian Stones (not final name) can be earned by completing Encounters though negotiating or fighting, as well as other rewards.

Q: Do you also get the radiant stones if you don’t complete the tower?
A: Yes, you can get them if you don't reach the end of the Spire, by completing Encounters.

Q: What about the Spire Ancient Wonder - Vestige of Eternity? Will it be introduced in beta along with the SSV in March, or will it be available earlier?
A: Our current plan is to bring all the features at the same time.

Q: What is the confirmed effect of the new Wonder? Will it increase the chance of bonus chests or something else?
A: It gives you a new expansion every 5 levels and increases the strength of the chosen effects at the beginning of each Spire stage.

I think that covered all questions we had, in case you have more, please tag me so I don't miss the question.

And that's why we need support for a campaign regarding our Twilight Phoenix(es). I don't know about y'all, but I played the 2022 Dawn of the Phoenix event, and I made darn sure to have the best possible result, for my play style (translation: I likely spent diamonds in some of my cities). And for my part time / casual cities, I played the Spire when the Artifacts came up in rotation, and make sure each took a turn in a decent fellowship so I have Blueprints to burn where and when it's worth it to me.
Some folks spent money on the event, on diamonds to make sure that they had a good result, or even on Spire results to get a better shot at the Artifacts. And of course we can always substitute diamonds for Blueprints.
Others spent money on them.

But now, the Twilight is to be devalued so it can't interfere with the Spire results? NO. No way. I call foul.

The Twilight Phoenix will be reworked in some way but I do not know yet how exactly.
This sounds pretty dangerous to me and might maybe upset me a lot, especially because I am seeing the "Twilie" as a child of my personal Elvenar-wishes.

Since I played Heroes of Might & Magic (Yes! The original title without any number behind it) probably more encouraged than any other human being on planet earth, I told her that I would be wishing for a pet that is able to resurrect troops after fighting and she passed it on to the mods at beta forum.
I was thinking of some "dark" necromancer stuff, like I knew from the other game back in the days.
About 1 1/2 or maybe two years later @InnoGames came up with that Twilight Phoenix and we even managed to get InnoGames to 5% unit recovery, If I recall it right it should have been 3% at Stage 10 first but was raised to 5% after players feedback. ;)

@InnoGames even made it to create a positive building out of my dark thoughts, since it has become more a hospital than any necromancer stuff when it was released.
I must admit that I was hoping that they would maybe design the Twilie stronger than they would recognize and there was a bug that nearly nobody knew about when it was released back then. But this one was fixed very fast! :)

Why do they want to rework it? Just because of that new SSV counting system. Come on should I laugh about that?

Why not conceiving the SSV system in a way that harmonizes with the Twilie?

I think it might be a constructed pretext to destroy what I was wishing for. Again it seems that they are trying to take revenge on me because of me not liking the latest changes to the game and talking open minded about it. :D

I hope they don't mess up "my" Twilie too much, hopefully there is just a little rework needed in order to not confuse elvarian math too much again.

Being reworked doesn't necessarily mean devalued. To me, the end result will be the same, it's just the workings behind it will be different so it doesn't affect calculation of SSV. If they didn't change it, players using Twilight Phoenix would have indefinitely increasing SSV making Spire constantly harder. Anyways, there's nowhere stated that it's detrimental so no need for a panic.

That's how it is! Regarding the General Terms and Conditions of Elvenar, I would like to say, this can happen.

But I am with @Silly Bubbles and my good hope on this one.
@InnoGames "destroyed" a lot in-game during the last year, I cannot believe that they feel like in a need of "destroying" more.

Wow! Glad to see this thread is still active since I started it Sept. 20, 2023. I've been away for almost a year. I'm back and still learning about the changes that have gone on. One thing is constant: Still disliking discord for the most part. Too much flaying about which hides info, etc. etc. etc. But y'all know that. Only the release-notes channel seems worth following.
