perk points

I guess I'm not explaining this right. my question is I guess how many perk points do you accumulate if you win 10 chest? because if I go to use buffer points accumulated the total is 25,000. if we win say 500 per tournament opening 10 chest I don't want to lose them because I have not used them. does that make any sense?

Yeah I get that but you accumulate points at the end of the tournament just like at the end of the spire. I am just wondering if we are going to lose points if we don't use them because ours top out at 25k.

The short answer to your first question is: yes, you lose them.

Some disambiguation is needed as there are 2 different "perk points" discussed in this thread and they are not directly related:

Fellowship Experience points are earned from collecting Tournament Chests (amongst other sources) at a flat 4000 per chest. Those are not lost, even after reaching the maximum Fellowship Level (currently 41, at time of writing), and spent on the four different perks as you have done.

Tournament Archive Points are capped by the current level of your Tournament Archive perk (5000 points per level). You mention a 25000 cap, implying you have the maximum level 10 in the Tournament Archive perk. It IS possible to lose out on possible points by not spending your built up archive of Tournament Points.

To answer your second question, the number of Tournament Archive points you gain in your Tournament Archive is number of Tournaments Points your Fellowship achieved above what is needed for your current chest (40000 for 10 chests), but below the next chest (50000 for 11 chests), up to your current maximum, and is therefore variable, week to week.

Okay current scenario, we are on chest number 12 and these are the perks we have saved up.
Let's just say I use the rest of these to open up chest number 12, will we regain the 25,000 at the end of the tournament in bonus perks? thanks for your answers

If you spend those points 8770 points for the next chest*, and no additional progress is made by anyone in your Fellowship, you will gain Zero Tournament Archive points for the week and you will have 10650 left in your Tournament Archive for next week.

However, if anyone does make additional progress in the Tournament after you spend those points, those extra gains will be added to your Tournament Archive for the next week.

* Those points are spent immediately. This frees up capacity in your Tournament Archive to gain more at the end of the Tournament.

Has there been any discussion somewhere about a use for the continual accumulation of FS experience points after maxing out the 4 perks? We have 8.83 million and nothing to do with them. Has Inno made any comments about any plans for them? A long time ago in the galaxy before the discord invasion, there was a discussion about new perk types. I have no idea where that thread is or if anything became of it. Thus, my question.

Ich finde es so schade um den Bereich Vorteile in der Gemeinschaft. Man könnte doch relativ einfach hier weitere Vorteile anbieten. Sollte Inno sich sagen: "Da sind mittlerweile Millionwerte angesammelt, es macht keinen Sinn etwas zu erweitern, da dann die Gemeinschaften direkt alles ausbauen...
