Placement of Main Hall

Wait... really? So an AW touching main hall would work day behind it with 0 road connection at all?
No; I think what @iamthouth meant was that, by putting your MH in a corner, you can only use two sides to start road connections. On the other hand, if you pull the MH away from the corner, you can get multiple buildings fully connected with as little as one road.

It may not be the most efficient but I prefer the Main Hall near the top right corner of the map. In that position it hides the least amount of buildings. I really like to see all my buildings, even the Wonders.

I have it moved slightly away from the top so that I can partially hide the Magic Academy behind it. This reduces the chance of accidental pickups when saving up enchantment productions prior to a Fellowship Adventure.

That’s what I have done to this point, but the 75 squares I could save by doing this are pretty enticing. And I don’t think I’ll mind having the Simia Sapiens hidden. ;) But it is a shame to hide some of the buildings - they are so much fun to look at.

looking @ your 2 cities , your beta city seems more
organized kinda, but which city are you looking for
input for, or are you trying to find a plan 1st, then
recreating that in both worlds ?

Both cities in my book, need a re-org.... for efficiency
and for consolidation, I can see pros/cons for diff
placements of the MH.... but none are "the best".
