If I collect a portal profit instant and then move into the next chapter why doesn't the instant change to the portal items I need?

Have you activated the Advanced Scouts or just unlocked the chest? The game counts you as 'in' the next chapter after scouts are activated. I checked the free one I got in S&D, am now in Halflings. It had the S&D stats when I got it; it has Halfling stats now. If the advanced scouts thing isn't it, I'd submit a ticket to support in-game and get them to take a look.

Thank you so much - no I have not finished researching advanced scouts so that must be the answer. If it doesn't "flip" after I get past this point then I'll open a ticket. Appreciate the prompt response! M
