Produce Orcs

I have Hero's Forge and Armory. Just found Blossom Brute in my inventory, but it's a paltry production for the size. Are there any other ways to produce Orcs? It seems this is gonna be a regular quest now. Thanks for your thoughts.

Just a side question - without starting a war...........Does anyone else find the quests for the last few and current events to be verging on ridiculouse? Huge outlay for tiny reward, and some catch-22, where I cannot complete the offered quests without "buying" them or totally devastating my assets............
 
@fitress, I stopped the current live event at quest 45 because it's not consistent with my game strategy to buy a whole bunch of KP early in the game, but also because I don't find the prize very exciting (can you tell I don't find KP particularly desirable?). I would say the quests are not unreasonably difficult, but a few not to my taste. The prize would have to be a lot better for me to be interested in participating more.

I'm looking forward to the prize for the upcoming marine event. Hopefully the questline is reasonable.

And Soullab even more, but you need the full set for that. It is also switchable.

Orcs from the adds count as well, but that's just a small chance.
 
Thanks to all for the ideas. I have a watch-list for the different options.

This may be really reaching for it, but I have over 3 millions Orcs. Is there any way to "convert" them for use in this scenario?

Nope. They have gotten rid of the loophole of cancelling productions for a refund to count as gain. So even training and cancelling orc troops won't let your stockpile be used for the gain purpose.

One more, and I'll go away. What are Orcs used for? (I don't fight). They should give us a way to trade/sell troops?
 
Orcs aren’t troops, they are like coins and supplies. You need them to negotiate Spire, provinces, tournament, make orc warriors & strategists and upgrade some buildings.
 
In many guest races you need them for production, as well.
Regarding Spire, you will not need those orcs until next chapter. If you run a balanced city, and keep your provinces within 10 of next chapter requirements, you will need orcs to negotiate provinces in Halfling chapter.
The workshops will need orbs for upgrades.
