Is there a way to reduce the Tournament Cool Down Time thus enabling more encounters during the full tournament time?

Even an unevolved polar bear is useful, because it will shorten the time at least a little. A fully evolved one will knock the time from 16 hours to between 12-13 hours between openings. Feed once and it will last the whole 5 days of the tournament.
