    Release Notes



    Dear Humans and Elves,

    We will have a temporary downtime on Thursday, November 29, in order to roll out version 1.68 onto our servers. Please check back for any further updates regarding this release.

    During the expected downtime, you will not be able to access the game. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Improvements



    • We have improved the loading screens between different areas of the game in HTML5: you no longer see a visualization of the City, Research Tree, or World Map anymore, but a loading bar instead. This change not only brings a visual update, but also makes loading of the different places of the game significantly faster. In the Flash version of the game, we see no impact on the loading times, so there you will still see the visualizations.

    Bug Fixes



    As with every update, we've resolved a number of bugs, among which:

    • Crafting - Added chapter indicators for several buildings in the inventory.
    • Fellowship Adventure - The Memorial of Ancient Heroes trophy obtainable in Fellowship adventures showed a 0-second time until it expired while in the inventory, even though the building's effects do not expire once placed.
    • Production - The timer for productions did not always appear immediately.
    • Research - Located and fixed a problem that made it possible to apply more Knowledge Points to a technology than the maximum amount, which could block further research.
    • Trader - It was possible to check the box to filter trades without the Trader actually applying the filter in some cases.
    • World Map - Resolved an issue where another player's city would be visited unexpectedly if a specific part of the button to shorten times of a scout with Booster Instants was clicked.
    • HTML5 - Improved how tooltips are displayed, to make sure they are not displayed if a menu is opened via click before they are loaded.
    • HTML5 - Removed an empty row in the Rune Shard Overview.
    • HTML5 - Fixed a problem where streets could not be placed in a certain scenario.
    • HTML5 - Prevented the upgrade button for buildings to become unavailable when another upgrade was just started.

    Mobile



    Note: the app version of the update is released separately from the browser version.

    • Animation - Added animations to the Trader Outpost. Beware of bumblebees!
    • Expiring buildings - The animations of expiring buildings will now stop playing once the building's effects have expired, to indicate that you're likely better off selling the building to create space for other buildings providing better bonuses to your city.
    • Crafting - Removed an information button without function in an area where it was not supposed to appear.
    • Crafting - While disenchanting, the items in the inventory appeared to be clicked rather than disenchanted. This has now been made more clear.
    • Crafting - The button to shorten countdown timers with Booster Instants no longer shows if you have no Booster Instants to use.
    • Crafting - The button to open the help screens is now shown correctly.
    • Crafting - Centered the text on the button to collect the Mysterious Object once 100 Vision Vapor has been achieved.
    • Fellowship Adventure - Made it easier to select one of the blue waypoints, since it was placed very close to another.
    • Fellowship Adventure - Two of the quest givers decided to hide, and we now convinced them to get back to their spot.
    • Quests - If you have two (or more) quests with progress, clicking one will not remove the exclamation mark indicating progress from all quests at the same time.
    • Workshops - Removed some confusing red visual effects from the production window that got misplaced.
    • World Map - Adjusted the positioning of the Relics counters so that they stay nicely aligned when not all Goods Production Boosts have been unlocked yet.
