Release Notes




Dear Humans and Elves,

We will have a temporary downtime on Thursday, March 7 in order to roll out version 1.74 on to our server. Please check back for any further updates regarding this release.

During the expected downtime, you will not be able to access the game. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

New Features



  • A new Instant has been added to Elvenar that enables you to upgrade event buildings: the Royal Restoration Spell.
    • With the Royal Restoration Spell, you can upgrade summonable buildings obtained through events or created in Crafting. Each building upgrade increases the building's associated Chapter and with that also its stats and bonuses.

      • Each building upgrade takes 1 Royal Restoration Spell per tile, so if you intend to upgrade building in the size of 2x3, you will need to acquire 6 Royal Restoration Spells in order to be able to make the upgrade.
      • Royal Restoration Spells can be won in Tournaments, upon reaching chests 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10, for a maximum of 5 Royal Restoration Spells per Tournament. Another way to obtain them is via Crafting (as described below).
    • New Crafting recipes: Ancient Knowledge and Royal Restoration Spell
      • The Royal Restoration Spell can be crafted using Combining Catalysts and Blueprints. A total of 3 new recipes to craft different amounts of Royal Restoration Spells were added to the recipe pool.
      • Ancient Knowledge can be crafted using Spell Fragments and Broken Shards. Again, a total of 3 new reciptes to craft different amounts of Ancient Knowledge Instants were added to the recipe pool.

        Note: The Crafting recipes will not be available immediately after the update. We plan to introduce them on Monday 11 March, when the new Mobile version is available for everyone.

Balancing Changes



  • The production of Rain Jellyfish in the Constructs building D004-w "Zoo" now requires C331-m "Blossom" instead of C724-d "Breeze" as was originally intended to have the desired distribution of Constructs across the productions.

Bug Fixes



As with every update, we've resolved a number of bugs, among which:

  • Builders Hut - The game will no longer ask to add more Builders when the maximum amount of 5 Builders are already busy working on constructions.
  • Translations - Reinstated missing translations in Barracks and for timers in the game, which were not shown properly in the HTML5 client.
  • Quests - Relics earned in Tournaments were not counted properly toward quests requesting the acquisition of relics.
  • Constructs - Rune Shards for Ancient Wonders introduced with this Guest Race were missing tooltip information and subsequently showing "!! Missing Description". They now indicate which Wonder they belong to.
  • Constructs - Two quests of "The society of the Constructs" had mixed up quest conditions that could not be completed by constructing the required buildings. They were adjusted to reflect exactly what needs to be done.
  • Constructs - Fixed quests that were showing a Jellyfish icon instead of the Electric Shocks required in the quests.
  • Constructs - Production bonuses provided by the Central Island D000-b "Core" were incorrectly applied twice to the portal itself. They are now just applied once.
  • Constructs - The wholesaler was displaying wrong icons for Constructs-specific goods.
  • Login - Removed the possibility for an endless loop within the password resetting routine.
  • Units - Fixed an error that could cause units of the opposite race (Humans/Elves) to be added.

Mobile



Note: the app version of the update is released separately from the browser version.

  • User Interface - Fixed an issue that could cause graphics in the game to not be loaded in their entirety, e.g. the city background and avatars.
  • Ranking - The player ranking no longer shows 233000 ranking and 456000 prestige for every player but properly reflects the actual player values.
  • Constructs - The Diamond confirmation popup did not trigger correctly when substituting Constructs Guest Race resources with Diamonds. The confirmation prompt has been reinstated.
  • Constructs - The new units introduced in this chapter were missing the visual representation of the units in their respective info-screens.
  • Translations - Sometimes the Barracks did not update their production status correctly, causing several possible issues (frozen timers, unresponsiveness of barracks, etc.). This will no longer happen.
  • Support - It is now again possible to attach images to support tickets when creating them from mobile devices.
