I have built a few wonders n have extra Shards for them..Are they useful down the road or a waste?

@Flyer Fanatic Yes. Every 5 levels you will have to repeat the rune wheel for an AW. So you will have to do the runes again at level 5, 10, 15, ect... That is the bad news. The good news is that the runes are ALL you have to do for those upgrades, there are no knowledge points involved for those upgrades. Furthermore, the rune phase upgrades give you twice as much of an increase in the ancient wonder's capability as a standard upgrade does.
