So I just got my 16th Tome of Secrets Rune Shard....

I don't even want a darn Tome of Secrets because it's a terrible wonder to have.

The real problem is the game feels compelled to award me Rune Shards for this Wonder more than ANY OTHER OF MY 6+ POTENTIAL WONDERS.

While I'm not asking Inno to change the drop frequency of certain Rune Shards, can they at least implement some type of exchange so I don't keep accumulating shards that I will never use and can't do anything about it? I think you should be able to break down your Rune Shards into 2-3 Broken Shards.

I understand a game like Forge of Empires doesn't do this, but Rune Shards are a lot rarer than their Blueprint equivalent in FoE. To see this rare chance I have to get a Shard end up giving me a 16th shard to a pile I can't use makes me want to log off and never log on again.

Frustrated players are more likely to punch in that credit card number, and in the end, that's all Inno is after. I used to spend a few bucks on FoE until I saw how fast they pushed buggy content from Beta to the live servers, regardless of all the feedback from the Beta players. Same thing is happening here. Innos revenue from 2015 was 110 million dollars. I doubt they will miss my occasional 20 bucks.
 
Well actually, this inspires me to spend my bucks on Forge of Empires instead of Elvenar. I know the money all goes to Inno, but if their Elvenar team isn't pulling in the revenue, the developers suffer at performance reviews. I enjoy that suffering.


This rant started when I got 6 Rune Shards from the Solstice chest. They had to be the same type too...

That first chest opening alone inspired me not to drop a dime for this event. FoE soccer event was at least fun and had decent rewards even if it was money-sucking. This event and Elvenar in general just screams mediocrity and half-assedness. I guess the successful developers are posted to Forge of Empires while the shitty employees get trickled down to Elvenar.
