So last week I put out a Dwarven Ironhorn to get extra orbs from each level of the Spire.
Great, I now need 10 runes to complete the circle. I got 6 from last week's Spire and 6 from this week. It really would be nice if the number of breaking orbs could be limited. With only 3 runes to go before the circle is filled I have a 70% chance of them breaking. So with 12 orbs I really should be able to have 1 NOT break. But of course they all did.
And before someone starts the stupid comment: YES I KNOW that with 10 broken ones I can fill one slot. Duh! But 12 orbs netting in only 1 rune filled because of 10 breaks just sucks.
But 12 out of 12 breaking is absolutely insane.
And the further one ups the Vestige, the more runes one needs to fill the circle. 9 for levels 1-5, then 10 for levels 6-10, so I expect 11 for levels 11-15.
But when I do get there (if ever at this rate) and you get to be at 9 out of 11 positions filled each orb only has a 2/11 or 18% chance of it fitting. And for the last one a chance of 1/11 or 9% chance. My expectation based on math for that is one will need an average of perhaps 50 orbs to fill that ring. Say one is pretty lucky and can do it with 39, with normally 3 orbs per week to be gained that means 13 weeks, or 3 months, to gain 1 level at that point. And that is if one is already very lucky. Which I in this game am not, not with any of the chance based crap, so it is just one more thing that is an extreme annoyance which takes away from the fun.
