Spire Purple Orb Rewards Progression

For clarity, there are three main sections of the Spire: Gateway, High Halls, and Laboratory. Each section has four checkpoints, which provide two different cumulative rewards based on Fellowship participation:
1. Combining Catalysts and 5 hour boosters
2. Diamonds, Portal Profits, and Teleport building enchantments.

The first rewards increment at the "lower 3" gates in each section, while the second set are earned at the final gate in each section; earned, that is, according to the number of orbs the Fellowship earns.

Has anyone else noticed the first reward set has two gates where the number of rewards don't actually increase?

1. The rewards at the third gate in the Gateway are 2x combining catalysts and 3x booster 5h. The first gate in the High Halls has the exact same reward, meaning there's no increase in rewards between these two "milestones." If there were an increase, it would be either 3x combining catalyst or 4x booster 5hr.
2. The first and second gate rewards are also exactly the same (3x combining catalyst and 5x booster 5h) in the first and second gate in the Laboratory.

If either one of the combining catalysts or booster 5h increased at EVERY gate, the end result would mean earning 5 of one and 6 of the other.

Alternatively, they could lower the first gate reward to 1 each, ensure an increase of 1 at each gate, and the final result would be 5 of both at the third gate in the Laboratory.

Since the rewards from those chests are cumulative, I don't see any reason why there has to be an increase in the number given each and every time.

Consistency for one thing. Make all the steps get a tiny bit of increase rather than some do and some don't. In any case, I sort of like the idea of every step gaining a bit more in a more or less gradual manner. But that's just personal preference.
