Will post tournament stats in a few days when it starts. Let me know if I need to clarify a number. I feel like my Research expansion number vs Socrates suggests I may have been suppose to put how many non premium? Or maybe he put the wrong number? I duno.

Yours is an interesting city indeed. You'd have to confirm some numbers for me though:

- Have you researched and paid for all techs in chapter 10, but haven't opened Advanced Scouts in Halflings yet?
- You posted 139 expansions total, but ElvenStats says 140 current. Have you placed any expansions since Sunday?
- You posted 163 AW levels total, but ElvenStats says 168 current. Have you upgraded any AWs since Sunday? Have you had any AWs upgrading when Spire spawned?
- What is the cost of your next premium expansion? AFAIK, you can't have 39 premium on live yet, this comes with chapter 17

You can see original format post here (https://us.forum.elvenar.com/index.php?threads/spire-squad-size-calc-we-need-your-data.22265/). Not many people use it exactly like that, so there are some mutations out there. Specifically for the quoted numbers that would be

Chapter / MH level / total open provinces / total AW levels / regular SS / total expansions : premium expansions / mandatory research / enemy base tournament SS / own base tournament SS / date.

Yes. I have not opened the Halflings chest and have finished all Chapter 10 techs.

No. It appears I grabbed that stat from Elvenstats without refreshing my information. 140 would be the correct number for the information I provided at that time. I have not grown sense then.

I have actually ran through a few AW levels this week although none were upgrading at the time the spire spawned. For the sake of keeping the stats clean even with the increase in AW levels the first Spire enemy squad size is still at 745. I unfortunately cant say for certain how many AW levels I just jumped (Although I am 95% sure it was 4 levels.) I will repost next spire open.

My next premium expansions cost is 13,000 diamonds. There is no available expansions for purchase.

Also enemy squad size for the tournament is 43 at 1 star province 1, 1061 at 1 star province 5, 3715 at 1 star province 10.

I have a lot of respect for what you are doing for the community. Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in your testing. I do understand the importance of outlier data in what you are doing.

You won't see the impact of the changes until the next week's Spire.

My next premium expansions cost is 13,000 diamonds. There is no available expansions for purchase.

Now that makes little sense. If you purchased all the premium expansions and you're playing on live, then you should see 15,500 there, and it will be grayed out.

This corresponds to 37 premium expansions, and your data lines up very well with the current model at 140 expansions total / 37 premium. Your city changed in between Spire and tournament starts though, so while Spire numbers use 163 AW levels indeed, tournament one was already for 165 AW levels.

Playing with spreadsheet. My CAL is 8154 and next premium cost is 15,500. If I reduce next premium cost to 8000, CAL increases to 8465
So it appears that buying premium expansions reduces CAL - hence an incentive to buy. Is my understanding correct?

Premium expansions do not reduce CAL, they merely have smaller penalty than the regular ones.

In your example you have 152 expansions total, with the next premium one costing 15,500. This means you have 36 premiums and 116 regular ones. If you drop price of the next premium expansion down to 8,000 this would correspond to 21 premiums and 131 regular ones for the same total of 152 (you can't even have 131 regular expansions, but it changes nothing in this analysis). So you replaced 15 premiums with regular expansions, and regular ones are penalized more, so your CAL went up.

To isolate impact of premiums alone, you have to drop total number of expansions correspondingly, so look at 137 total expansions with the next premium costing 8,000 (21 premiums / 116 regular ones). You will see that it will be lower than 36 premiums / 116 regular ones.

Oct 25-27 data is definitely not accurate, no input changes listed but both Spire and tourney SS moved. It lines up pretty well with AW=347 for Spire Oct 25 and AW=348 for tourney Oct 27.

The latest Spire lines up well given that you added 2 regular expansions, and unlocked 5 mandatory techs (City Expansion 50 and SSU 60 are optional and do not count).

You either have done all these changes after the start of the tournament (unlikely), or you haven't updated squad sizes (the same numbers as of 2020-10-27).
