Summer Mermaids Event feedback

I've got a level 4 Aureate that looks like it might help better overall as a nice companion to the level 10 Fire Bird, though the pop is low.
Right now, I've got the level 4 Aureate, level 8 Stonehenge, Level 10 Mermaid's Paradise, 2,200 pop Water bubble, 2,200 pop Mauriel Queen of the Seas all ready to be added. I've got space for one. Which one would be best is a toss up.
So I'm asking so I can rule out the Mermaid's Paradise if it's the under performing "prize" I think it is (and convert it into fragments later).
You're feedback is greatly appreciated now that it's been around for a while now.
Thank you for your support... :D

Depends on whether you have access to a regular supply of Royal Restoration instants and whether any of these become better for you as you upgrade them in the future.

I usually get two each week and build them up to keep a few buildings producing Mana. I've checked the upgrades... Stonehenge is not bad... If I could get more Bird upgrades, it would be a no brainer, I'd go with the the bird.
Mermaid's Paradise is just meh to me unless I was in chapter 14 and then if I was in that chapter, I'm sure something else would be better.
I'm just not impressed with this prize. Does anyone else fell like it was a mistake to place it?
I'm loathe to place it and then find out I should have used it for fragments.

Thanks Enevhar Aldarion. I didn't realize that. Well, the Mystical Object didn't give me 150 Corals to help me try my luck at getting the Sharkapalooza but I got something better - 500 diamonds! Maybe I'm supposed to use those diamonds for this event. I don't think so. Spending diamonds for an event is too much like gambling at the casinos. You lose more than win.

Why do I want this building in my already cramped city? What REAL benefit is it going to give me?
@Black watch In the same space where you have the Homestead and 2 Baby Buggies in your city, you could place the Mermaid Paradise. Your population would only decrease by 34, your culture would increase, you would gain the T1 production without having to spend supplies, plus you get the 3 AW KP. If you don't need T1, it isn't a good fit. It seems better to me than your other buildings in inventory, but I don't really know what your city needs most.

I do enjoy doing events, save for this one :(
I do have one problem with them tho; I have such a large collection of buildings that will take me forever to place since space is such a problem all the time......
I really like some of them, could certainly use some of them out, but I am so crammed together at the moment that I have no idea when I will be able to place anymore buildings o_O

Yep, spot on Arayla, that's where it would go, I'm just still torn... I guess I wish it was better

THANK YOU so much for taking the time to check my city out. I really appreciate that! :D

When the Mermaid's Paradise is evolved to level 7 and 8, it gives 1 AW KP (a KP instant to be used on an Ancient Wonder, not in the tech tree). Level 9 provides 2 AW KP. Level 10 provides 3 AW KP.
And it provides that daily. Compare to a Monument of Ancient Knowledge which takes 2 days for the same, and eventually expires.

So basically a full half the size of the paradise can be justified as 2 monuments that don't expire....and then beyond that it fully replaces a t1 factory.

Thank you for the info Alistaire, that helped clarify it better.

Just to clarify these numbers for people who do not have the building out yet. Level 7 and 8 give a single, 1-point AW KP. Level 9 gives two 1-point AW KPs. And level 10 give a single 3-point AW KP. This is the first time an AW KP with a value of less than 3 points has been given out, so I did not want people thinking these were all 3 points. :)

Now that I've wasted 2 days producing Royal Beds, I now find I have to waste another day producing Luxury Armchairs 7 times. I've missed some nice daily prizes because of these l o n g productions and the event will be over in 5 days. Not cool game devs. Not cool. Since I can't work on Summer Mermaid quests anymore today, I think I'll head over to my kitchen and cook up some Italian Potatoes and Eggs.

Geez!!! These Invest and Spend KP quests are back to back now over and over again, with maybe one little quest in between! How is a player suppossed to keep coming up with 30 KP or 40KP?? I mean ya just had the tourny so had lots but that was done then, now there are none left and so its craft or wait, since there are none offered to craft half the time, its mostly just wait wait wait............................so very inefficient and unnecessary.....

Yeah, the forced down time is hard on players without a gob of extra space to place level 1 buildings. Seems to me, INNO is trying to balance the events by this form of implementation, but the bigger cities haven't been slowed down at all, I'm still seeing folks plowing ahead like crazy, and the smaller cities are feeling the brunt of the changes.
There must be a way to regulate the difficulty by chapter or some other way that makes it fair for at least MOST players.

In light of the fact that quests are now endless, perhaps introducing the ability to skip quests would be possible? Obviously this should be limited to prevent simply cycling through to the 'easy' quests; perhaps only one skip per day, resetting when the daily prize switches over? I'm sure each of us has at least one quest objective that we really dread seeing when an event rolls around (for me it's a tossup between scouting provinces and high-level building upgrades), and I think this could be a great way of working around that in a way that neither forces us to complete it, nor allows us to skip it quickly every time it comes up. Something to hopefully consider for events in the future!

I had only made it to the 3rd cycle, the 1st I had to pay with diamonds to get through a quest I couldn't other wise pass if I DIDN'T PAY.!!! I did so once and they past it for me the 2nd because I complained about how unfair it was for quests to force over scouting to the point where our levels wasn't equal to the research so passing it wasn't even an option unless we paid our way through!.. I have played ever single quests and adventure since I started playing 4-5 years ago. Research had been neglected , Im over scouted and can't play...refuse to pay out anymore!
