Well, in the first 60 days we have recruited about 40 players and merged two fellowships. We've managed to fill a fellowship or two and to divert a disaster for a third. All because we are members of The Consortium. 9 fellowships working together to ensure all players on Khelonaar have vibrant and active fellowships in which to play at their own level and style. It's our belief that people who are not frustrated by a fellowship that is moving too slow, or too fast, should not have to search very far to find one, "just right." And in The Consortium they don't have to.

Now, as mentioned, we have a couple fellowships that are full. They were down about 15 when we started, and not they are not. Which means, if we keep advertising "we have a home for you!" we need more fellowships. Particularly at the top, and at the "casual play" level. If your fellowship would like to join TC, we should talk.

Just so people know, The Consortium was closed about 6 months ago due, mostly, to health issues. I'm feeling better now, and have re-thought The Consortium. We ended up on two worlds with about 24 fellowships but the benefits of being in The Consortium were, in my opinion, not enough to get people to participate. Mostly it was a passive membership letting a few players do the work, which was okay as long as those players didn't mind. And, for the most part, they didn't. However, the tracking of who was doing what became very burdensome as some players didn't report....sound familiar? In other words, the lack of benefits and "enforcement" mechanisms pretty much meant the thing slowed to a crawl and stopped altogether when RL stepped in.

In the future I am planning on a New Consortium with some real benefits. How about a recruiting page where both players and fellowships can search? Wouldn't that be nice. I'm hoping (it's a "long shot" dream, actually) to get a page out there where members of The NEW Consortium can post/search and find players meeting their needs. To access the page each person has to add info -- a one person added for one search done, perhaps? -- and therefore, the database will grow. OR, if I can get the data (as elvenstats.com does) from Inno, maybe that will work.

In any case, I still believe that working together is a worthy goal and would make recruiting easier. I just have to figure out how to motivate people better and not do make it rely just on my efforts. Stay tuned....maybe, just maybe it will happen?
