Just finished up the tourney for this week and for the first time ever, I catered the whole event. Of course this was all in the name of research. Here's all the data.

Thanks again, Soggy-sama, I did the Marble Tournament, 6 Provinces, 6 Rounds, and will share my insights after I play around with Excel some. But ignoring individual Encounters for a Province Total is a good idea, and there is a tremendous amount of variance.

If I have time this week, I'll record my numbers for all 3 cities as well. I have 2 nearly identical cities in woodelves, one steel one plank, so we should be able to compare and see how big a difference having that first province much closer makes.

I am still chewing on the data, but my very preliminary conclusions are:

1) The total for completing all six rounds of a Province, for coins, supplies, and goods, are about 9.3 x the cost of completing the first Round.
2) There is a LOT of variability.
3) Ring # is important, and I did not capture that.

The 930% estimate seems pretty solid and very useful, at least to a lowbie like me.

The increase between Rounds is pretty linear and reliable. The increase between one Province and the next depends mostly on Ring, which I didn't capture, but can still reach some conclusions.

I did 6 Provinces 6 Rounds each time, but I did not capture the 6th Round for Steel because of Real Life(TM).
I don't know what Provinces past the 6th look like, but I SUSPECT the increase is more dramatic for Further Rings than for Further Rounds.

I have 2 accounts that are now at the same squad size, and I plan to try 2 different approaches next tournament:
Both routes are 30 stars, going for max KP.

Option 1 is very simple, 15 provinces, and stop as soon as you get a KP reward from a province. 1008 tournament points, 60 KP

Spoiler: option 1

Option 2 is a little more complicated, but basically getting the most KP out of 7 provinces with 5 rounds, stopping if there is no more KP to be had from that province. 1356 tournament points, 44 KP

A better test would be to replace option 2 with 8 provinces 6 times, as that would give 58 KP, but I won't do round 6.

Update: squad size 897 on both

Option 1 complete, total cost for 60KP:
148K tier 1
161K tier 2
150K tier 3

Option 2 complete, total cost for 44KP:
98K tier 1
100K tier 2
77K tier 3

I'm a little disappointed with the results, was really hoping that the costs would be similar and show that option 1 was better.
To get ~35% more KP costs about 50% more goods, making option 1 more efficient, and it gives far more tournament points.

I can tell you that going wide is much more expensive than going deep. I did the Steel tournament three different ways. I did 6 tourneys to 6 stars, 8 tourneys to 5 stars, and 11 tourneys to 4 stars. Each covers the points necessary (1620 points) for a single person in a 25-member fellowship to complete all ten chests.

I'm in Age 10 - Sorcerers/Dragons, Squad Size is 1896.

Thank you! This is exactly the data I wanted, even though the results aren't what I'd hoped, at least the answer is simple: 8x5 is the cheapest way to do your part without schedule issues.

Looks like a ~33% increase in costs over 6x6 and a ~33% decrease vs 11x4
