Quest title:
Elcysandir:
  • Season of Joy - all daily and weekly quests completed atm
  • Mama Juul's Fusion Feast - waiting on quest 72
  • King Aelrindel: "Build a Campus" (chapter 10, I think it's quest #3?)
  • (the repeating quest is not visible/not available)
Sinya Arda:
  • Season of Joy - all daily and weekly quests completed atm
  • Mama Juul's Fusion Feast quest #70: Solve 10 Province, Tournament and/or Spire Encounters; & Produce fresh Supplies to provide to the inhabitants of your city (90000).
  • Mentor Tanavar: ORCS! "Build Orc Portal" (ch 8, I'm not sure which quest it is... 2? 3?)
  • (the repeating quest is not visible/not available)
Current Situation: On occasion, when completing Tourney rounds using the Auto Fight or Cater feature on the browser, the game appears not to register that the encounter has been completed. If using manual battle, this does not appear to happen, and I think that's because it has to move to a new screen and move back to the world map.

I can reset the glitch in a few ways:
  1. Move to a different screen - research, city - and move back to the world map to continue tournament rounds.
  2. If I have other open tournament provinces, continue with encounters until the glitch "resets" - can take up to 3 provinces to happen.
  3. Refresh the browser.
The glitch can cause a couple of things to happen in the interface, but the one thing that is constant is the blank cater window if I click on the "Open" button at the province where the encounter was just completed. (See Elcy sequence #2)

Sometimes, as you can see in the Sinya Arda screen, the tourney tent window will register the encounter as completed, but the button will still show on the map and the star will not appear.

Sometimes, as you can see in the Elcy screens, neither the tent nor the world map will register the completion, but clicking on the open button and then clicking "Cater" (as it's the only thing that shows) will cause a message to appear that says the encounter has been completed. If you do this, the screen locks and you cannot move your location with the mouse. You must either log out of that city or move to another screen - research, city - in order to unlock movement control (panning on the world map).

Expected Situation: For the game to register encounter completion accurately and to move to the next open province; or, for the game to register encounter completion accurately and show the correct number of completed stars on the world map/tourney tent windows.

Reproduction Steps: As this is a random glitch, I cannot give exact steps to reproduction. However, it does only happen when I am remaining on the world map while completing encounters. Thus, if you go through Tourney encounters using the Auto Fight or Cater mechanics, it should eventually happen to you too.

4 - https://cdn-images.imagevenue.com/67/e8/42/ME16F5LQ_o.jpg - returning to the World Map after clicking "OK" shows province 36 still with an "Open" button (12:12 PM)
5 - https://cdn-images.imagevenue.com/bd/53/ae/ME16F5LR_o.jpg - the Tourney Tent window shows province 36 with a greyed out "Open" button (12:13 PM)
6 - https://cdn-images.imagevenue.com/06/99/52/ME16F5LS_o.jpg - the Tourney Tent window shows province 36 correctly after refresh (12:18 PM)

Sinya Arda: https://cdn-images.imagevenue.com/e1/42/f1/ME16F5LT_o.jpg - note the Tent window shows the 6th star of province 30 is filled, but the world map does not.

Troubleshooting notes:
Yes, I have cleared cache. I cleared it yesterday, multiple times, and the day before. I have been having a lag issue that I needed to verify the cause of. I am, however, wondering if there is a cache on the Elvenar server that is somehow not being cleared/overwritten when actions are occurring in the game. It's a shot in the dark, but it's all I've got for why this glitch is randomly happening and no preventative measures on my end are able to cause it to not happen at all.

However, since this glitch is random and resets with just moving from the World Map screen to the Research Tree and back, I do not think that my browser cache is causing the problem. I do not think my RAM cache is the problem either; however, that too has been cleared. I have a program just for that, and I run it regularly (it has its own process in the task manager).

Because the glitch resets when moving from the World Map to any other game screen, rebooting the browser automatically resets the glitch and cannot, therefore, provide any help in preventing the glitch. Which is, obviously, what I would like to happen - for the glitch not to occur, interrupt my gameplay, and require me to take steps to reset the screen. The same "reboot" note can be made about the computer as a whole. (In a game where time management is a component of the play, this is detrimental to the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.)

Note to mods: If I need to open a ticket with the Help Desk on this, is it easier if I just link to this post? Or would you prefer I copy/paste?

I've seen that myself, 0IM20. As you say, if you move to another window or just continue playing normally it will fix itself in a short while, so I haven't bothered to report it. Next time I will, if it happens again.
