Each spell is 45 points so you need a minimum of 4 and sacrifice a good spell effect

Upgrading your Magic Academy to max is one o f the few things that I think are worth spending diamonds on if you are not big on diamonds. Each simple spell is 60, for me, while Magical Manufacturing (which I almost never use) is 120 fragments.
