Variety in major events

We have lots of events and they are basically all variations on a theme of doing mass quests. For a truly unique game experience for a major event it would be fun to do something completely different and fitting in with the story-line of the game.

The story line has us helping guest races come back into the world (well several races, not all) and then we pack them up and send them of into the world on their own. Why not have a mini-temporary town where we go to visit a particular race and help them establish one of their settlements? Basically we run a dwarf (pick race) settlement instead of quests for an event. This would allow us to immerse further into the games story and explore another race. Every player would start the same regardless of years/months of play or chapter and diamond purchase could still push growth by buying or speeding though that races productions/buildings etc. We could either get quests (probably progressive like a story) or just need to achieve a certain level of growth to gain prizes.

Downside is a mass amount of programming and some players might not want a temporary settlement that then gets lost. However some players get bored with the same old quests and this would allow for a unique experience and chance to see some more of the amazing artwork the game has to offer. Other downside is a town having to help a race prior to them getting to that part of the story would seem out of sync, but it might be a nice teaser for them to progress to that stage of the main game.

Worst case, on a lazy scale once a event town was developed they could always re skin it from dwarves to fairies to orcs, etc.
