Where to spend diamonds

Magic Academy, Builders and expansions are always the go-to's.

The Magic Academy just got a lot more attractive to upgrade now with the introduction of crafting. The higher your MA, the more spell fragments you get from disenchanting things, best bang for your buck right there.

Builders are good until you hit time-consuming chapters like Orcs. No need to buy 5 builders when they will be doing nothing for months when there is nothing to upgrade. But even in higher chapters, extra builders can be great, for a short time. They will run out of things to do.

Expansions are great, but get very costly, very quick. Buy what you can afford, but you can always gain free expansions from scouting.

Magic Residences and Workshops may look appealing, but they will quickly become outdated and expensive to upgrade unless you are in a 10-chest fellowship. If you do earn weekly blueprints, than you may want to consider how powerful these buildings are.

Never buy culture, you will outgrow it very quickly and they are not upgradeable by any means.

Oh Wise One
Yep, Magic Academy, Builder's Hut, and an occasional expansion, but only when they are on sale for 10% off. I have also bought diamonds with real money three or four times, but only when I got the 100% bonus offer and I only did the minimum $5 for 500 diamonds, which was doubled to 1000. So that gave me 3000-4000 extra diamonds to throw around. Between that, diamonds from Wishing Wells, and end of chapter diamond rewards as of the end of Chapter 11, I have a level 5 builder, level 5 Magic Academy, and maybe 5 total premium expansion purchases. Oh, and one under 200 diamond culture building, just because I could. My mistake was starting a city on a second server and spending some diamonds there and then realizing I just did not have the time or focus to deal with more than one city. Even with spending the diamonds, I still gave up on that other city.

@kayleegrrl I find my five builders the most useful during events where you have to upgrade four or five buildings at a time. Also, when you first research an upgrade, such as residences and workshops, I like to have four or five upgrading at one time in order to get them done more quickly. But yes, there are times when all five just sit there and collect unemployment checks, and I do not mind at all. lol
