And on the subject of Winter Magic: is there a way to make it go away? It seems that everything I click on with that elf is just a shove to buy diamonds. Aha, she says. aha. It covers a quarter of the upper screen, and its just annoying. I know it will disappear soon enough, but crimeney, the holidays are OVER. And I really don't want a gingerbread house. (I know, I know, bah humbug and an elf died when I said that, but still...)

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd swear the algorithm to assign quests is looking at what is going on in our cities. I'm in the bonus quests and put my lone magic workshop doing the toolbox and left it when completed. I used the magic workshop because the quest is to collect 2 toolboxes and the magic WS counts as 2. I never got the toolbox quest, so I collected the toolbox after 4 days. The collect toolbox quest came up within a few hours of collecting it. This has happened a couple of times. Of course, it is probably just bad luck. Or is it? LOL

I was kind of annoyed by the extra step of clicking the hammer and making the bricks to build the house. It was mildly interesting trying to see if there was a system for getting 2 or 3 bricks or if it was entirely random. But I quickly got to where I just wanted to get my bricks without all the clicking.

Yeah. the fall event mechanic, watching the constellations fill in automatically, was nice for a while, then just nothing. Dozens of hammer hits was never interesting, and always annoying.

I did the same thing, trying to figure out if there was a system for getting 2 or 3 bricks instead of one. I discovered it was random and that was one. more. random. thing. that irritated me. No reason in the world for Inno to make MORE things for us to click in this game. Beyond irritating.

I'm just not really sure I want to ever do any of the holiday events again. That last one was so bad. However, I did get all the artifacts I need to evolve the building I'm not sure it was worth the cost of using so much time and resources to receive them. Plus, I don't like the casino type, do this to achieve that so you can use them to do this events. Plus, it's cost compared to the pay out. If you think about it...how do the real casinos make so much money? By making you think your receiving...and randomly letting someone receive a jackpot. If I wanted to be treated like that I would just go down the road to a real casino. They're not far.

What I hated most in the winter quest was getting quests for things like magical manufacturing, that I could not craft yet because I was nowhere near able to research it and acquire those spells. Then I'd have to wait days and days hoping that when I visit someone, one of those might pop up. It was my only chance to get it. That was totally insane, in my mind. I don't think it was fair to give me quests that were 10 research boxes away from me.
