Winter Magic not working correctly

The awards are not appearing when I open a present in the Winter Magic Event. I did not receive 30 KP in one and a Time Instant for 8 hours in another. The little gingerbread man also has no effect when he/she/it pounds on the house. There were 5 bricks that were wasted.
